Just finished watching both the events in Chandigarh. I'm truly inspired from His Holiness' words again. Without his guidance, I won't be doing well with my inner growth. Also I'm moved by those young Tibetan girls expressing such devotion and respect for His Holiness :) A peaceful harmonious world is really possible in coming decades when we have such a great spiritual leader like him

Unfortunately the translator was not able to translate properly as the Dalai Lama was not really answering the questions that were asked. The best thing would have been for him to repeat how he heard the question to make sure that he understood it correctly. Other than that, always a pleasure to see the Dalai Lama.

With all due respect, but the usage of Quantum Physics & science is in my opinion a mere marketing phrase for the Nalendra/Buddhism used by many Buddhist. HH the Dalai Lama permitted us to be critical. So I must state this.

Paretozen watching the videos available through OHHDL on the debates on physics by western and Buddhist scholars gives much insight as to the relationship between physics and Buddhism. I found the book “The Universe in a Single Atom: The Convergence of Science and Spirituality” by 14th Dalai Lama gives much more context on this issue.

On Marxism and Caste system I have been trying to understand how the Marxism ideas keep failing on the world stage. This leads me to the ideas of Jordan B Peterson, whose work on the subject has brought the criticism you said you are looking for. Natural hierarchies seem to things like the caste system. In your opinion, is this something that be overcome? Or do we need additional philosophies to complete the Marxism ideals?

@@theturtwig50 whom better to ask? At first I thought it was a bit of humor, but then he mentioned that Lennon had messed up Marxism. The basic premise of seems ideal for handling issues of "the haves" and "the have not's" but there's a breakdown in the actual implementation. I wonder if it is because Marxism removes the individual's freedoms of aspiration. Or if the fears of basic survival are unquenchable and must be factored in with such a philosophy.

As far as my knowledge goes, Brahmins is one of the castes. So how can they have introduced something they are part of? Secondly, the earliest mention of the Caste system pre-dates the birth of Siddharta by many hundreds of years.
