I am an atheist who first learned of Nizari Ismailism from Assassin's Creed , but then I started digging deeper and the more I learn about Ismailism , its history, its philosophy (Esotericism and Neo-Platonism) , the more it appeals to me , and I can definitively state that it is the most beautiful form of Islam that exists. Back when I was a theist (Christian in my case) i had many beliefs that were gnostic and because of that I didnt consider myself part of any existing Christian denomination because all major ones considered my beliefs to be heretical And I now find that in Islam there is a whole branch that still exists and that is bases so much on those esoteric beliefs that I once held . I just found out your channel today , planning to binge-watch your entire catalogue of videos and I find Ismailism so fascinating I am not going so far as to convert to ismailism simply because I am not convinced that any gods exist But unlike other branches of Islam that I actively oppose and find harmful... i find Ismailism to be trully beautiful and a force for good in the world , unlike almost all other branches that I consider to be a net-negative (both today and in the past ... just compare the Fatimids and the Saracens under Saladin... one promoted science and pluralism , the other just conquered and opressed ... also compare the Nizaris of Alamut ... that built libraries and promoted study and open discource with the Mongols that came and just destroyed everything ... and in the present , the Aga Khan not only promotes pluralism in the muslim world but through his network is trying to reduce poverty in the world ... but what do other Islamic leaders do for the most part ? Promote war, hatred and tribalism !)
