Beast is crazy smart. His videos are so insane but he manages to edit them in such a good way that there's hook after hook and entertainment the whole way through. Ppls attention span is so short these days that he kills it with keeping ppl tuned into his videos. Jimmy is absolutely amazing at what he does. Respect.
This is the most interesting interview they’ve done so far. This guy is a real business person stepping into the life of the biggest creator on KZread.

Reed is so polite and a professional. Waits for the interviewer to finish talking after each question. When asked if things got harder reed said "not harder but more stressful and complicated". stress and complication is the definition of harder lol but knew how to word it in a professional way.
Wow! As someone who's worked in social media in various ways over the past 8 years, this is easily one of my favorite podcast/interviews ever, love the production on it. Reed has an amazing mind when it's comes to social media, he's one of the hidden GOATs.

37:45 I also agree that the 30 day fast video was very relatable and personal. I keep leaving comments on Jimmy's videos that I LOVED the old content where no prize money was spent, no high tech, just personal, Jimmy, or Jimmy and his friends doing stuff or talking. This first person, calm, personal Jimmy I really enjoy. Jimmy doesn't need the lights and flares. Just sit him down and let him talk, or exist. No screams or sudden cuts: you have my attention. I love the personal, longer vids. Ironically I actually see more personal 'Jimmy content' on other channels then on his own, and I wish he would have a more personal channel where he just chills and talks. :)

That was an amazing insight into Reed's life. I love how he described the business as being in the 1st inning. So much thought goes into every decision.
As a creator, I loved the Jimmy doesn't eat video for the exact same reasons! It was fascinating to see how hard he works all the time, and then to see him risk it all by putting himself in this very vulnerable place. It had me personally questioning how much of myself I'm willing to risk in my own business.
The MrBeast employees put in so much work! huge respect to them!

I believe much of Jimmy's success is because of the organic nature of his videos. I am old person (50 years old). I started watching the videos because my son was watching Mr. Beast and I wanted to vet what he was watching on the internet. The first video I watched was when Jimmy was trying to survive under water for 24 hrs (he actually did not succeed). After watching that video, I realized that the material was age appropriate unlike Nelk videos. I also enjoyed the videos because of the content that Jimmy was producing. It was entertaining and it always seemed to leave you with a good feeling. Fast forward nearly 5 years later and Jimmy is still putting out amazing content that is still age appropriate and truly organic. My son goes to school at ECU (located Greenville, NC). I will continue to pull for someone like Jimmy because even with all of his success he is a young man that you still want to pull for! I look forward to see how Jimmy grows his channel and absolutely love the philanthropy side of his content as well. Wishing bigger and better things for JImmy and hope it leads other content creatures to copy his organic and safe content.

19:30 "If you're going to start multiple business units, you have to have people responsible for each one." Love this quote. This is the key to MrBeast's huge success - Jimmy Donaldson and Reed aren't perfect creators or businesspeople, they both just know when to delegate a normally difficult/tedious process to someone more skilled for the job.
This was hands down the most interesting and informative interview for what it takes to manage a top tier brand/channel/etc. Well done guys!
We've seen that exact same "danger" that was said about Mr. Beast and raising the bar for each and every video in Mumbo Jumbo, stressing himself out about such things, KZread is HARD! These creators really are geniuses who go through a lot!

Loved this interview, the one thing I'd love to pick his brain about, because I've heard jimmy talk about that he has talked to big studios like Netflix before but never came to a deal, I think eventually their has to be some kinda integration between KZreadrs and these streaming services. And if they have had the first talks maybe what that is gonna look like. Maybe a Netflix docu series weekly showing how Jimmy makes a video, or bringing these big KZreadrs in to start hosting shows to bring their followings with.

I love Reed's thought process for the long term. He isn't building to sell. He's building to compete and I like that. :D

You always have super interesting interviews and content! Keep up the good work!
This was an amazing talk. Thank you Colin, Samir, and Reed!
I love the philanthropy videos. Those are in line with when I subscribed Jimmy was doing a lot of cash giveaways and finding people who needed the help and giving it. Now he has a whole channel doing that on a much larger scale. My only thing is I wish there were more of those videos.
This was insanely insightful. Reed really just has a vast knowledge of the industry and its so interesting to hear him talk about it. Also its pretty cool to see how much work Jimmy puts into his content, he really is building an empire
And the best MrBeast video is when he cured blindness for 1000 people, that's another level! I hope many more people follow his examples and I truly hope he gets all the brand deals he wants. Because at least a lot of that money is put back in videos and people that truly need it! Mr Beast is youtube GOAT, there is no debate on this topic.
This team, from the management down to the people who stock the fridges in the studios, is amazing, and I really hope that I can be blessed enough to join one day soon.
Your channel is like another version of Corridor Crew. As they're VFX artists, they host VFX artists on their channel. The same thing goes for you. This is the channel for KZreadrs. I didn't think of that earlier. But after watching some of your content I realized this is the most needed thing on youtube. The background story of KZreadrs shows their dedication, hard work and guideline for new content creators. Thanks for coming up with a unique idea.
This is such a great video. So much knowledge and insight in under an hour. You guys are killing it 🙌🏼
As a creator with over a million subs on KZread mostly from shorts, I can confirm there is absolutely a huge lack of brand loyalty there. Don’t get me wrong, I love my subscribers, but there are only a few thousand that consistently come back and watch my content. Long form community growth trumps short form by 100x easy.

This is a great interview with a sharp kind - thank you for interviewing Reed!
Honestly you guys interviewing mrbeasts manager shows just how far this channel has come, road to 1 mill!!!
What? So much knowledge packed into 47 minutes! Loving your interviews at the moment. The focus on KZread not as a creative outlet but as a business solution is so interesting.
Brilliant interviewers and interviewees! Some piece or advice are applicable to any business, not just KZread business. Very refreshing take.
as someone that’s been watching your channel for years, i can say without a doubt this is one of the best interviews i’ve seen y’all post. good shit .
Such a great interview, love hearing what goes on behind the scenes!! (Btw 1 milli soon lets gooooo🔥)
this guy is basically the genius that makes all the connections youtubers have and he manages the economy of big youtubers
The full version of this interview on Spotify is fantastic. If you guys had more content like that, interviews with behind the scenes type people in the creator space, I’d definitely tune in to every episode.
might be my manager brain but this was the best video i've seen on this channel and might just be one of the best videos for creators to watch and digest. Reed's ability to speak about a heap of areas and voicing concerns about the future with potential financial crisis in tow, speaking without hesitation also and being articulate at the same time. banger video. cannot wait to rewatch and learn more again on another viewing
This was such a good interview! Super interesting hearing a perspective on the creator economy who is in the market of helping other content creators sustainably build businesses!
@Colin and Samir - This was sooo interesting to see the "backstage" look into this Manager's point of view (not only regarding MrBeast). This brings me to think; MrBeast has full confidence in this guy BUT, now that MrBeast is so large and has so much staff, how do they deal with people who are not well intentioned and want to (or have succeeded) in defrauding him? Or do you think they factor that in their expenses/losses? Jimmy seems to be such a nice person, I truly hope this is a non-issue. Thanks for putting this interview together. Great stuff.
Awesome stuff Reed. Glad to be a part of Night!. I could listen to Reed talk all day. Cool calm and collective!.
One of my favorite episodes! I don't know how many more people with Reed's job and experience there are but I would love to hear from all of them. Very enjoyable episode, super interesting keep it up!
Thanks for these mr beast videos. I watched the entire uncut mr beast interview and it was awesome but frustrating (while also understandable) how little jimmy wants to speak about the business, so it’s really interesting to see this perceptive and get insight into jimmy and the business of creation from his manager’s perfective. I haven’t watched any mr best videos until I saw the videos on your channel, the behind the scenes peaked my interest! I also think the No food video was my fave bc of the reasons you said, we get to see into his life/head! Now I’m on to watching jimmy speak on logan’s podcast lol.
Such a great interview I've learned a lot from this guy and his knowledge in how the digital creative space works.
It’s crazy seeing you grow from just your lax channel, I used to watch every single video you used to make. So glad to see y’all grow past that
I always wondered what networks had to offer creators. I've heard so many horror stories about how predatory they can be (i.e. Smosh), but this is the first time I've heard the head of a network speak on the symbiotic benefits of the arrangement. Very interesting.
Mr beast's not eating food video is also one of my favourite mr beast videos. I also liked the isolation one, the buried one, etc. where the focus is on the story of just one person. I am also excited for the upcoming 100 day circle video which was hinted in the no eating video.
The young man are quite inspirational and I worked all my life never had one vacation and my and in my sixties now but it's good to see young men doing so well keep up the good work and the good work and my heart goes out to you thanks for letting me enjoy these videos

Pure gold - thanks Colin and Samir for bringing Reed on and thanks Reed for the solid nuggets. Now off to listen to the full interview (but first, need a pen and some paper).
I got so hooked by the title and the thumbnail of this video that I thought it was a 20 minute video and when I checked it was when I was 40 minutes through and I only needed 10 minutes to finish. You guys did great this time it was amazing!
Feeling like I'm at that point now where I need a manager or something to do all my emails and find brand deals, takes so much time weeding through all the scams 😵
Best interview you guys have done yet! Loved it, Reed's insights and where the business is headed. Great work fellas!

Honestly a great interview, it's interesting to see what goes on with managing a creator / creator management company.
@15:45 the way reed said “break barriers and set the bar” was so LA colin and samir had to readjust 🤣
I think its really sweet how he refers to "jimmys accomplishments" as theirs because of how much he actually does behind the scenes
Awesome episode! Slight feedback for production: the gate on the audio is quite distracting when listening on high impedence headphones. The room tone is not too bad so would be no harm leaving the audio without a gate. Edit: Example of what I mean is clear around 25:20 :)
Loved this interview

Awesome interview. It's also the perfect example of run before you walk but learn from the trip to get faster next time. Very clever guy. Jimmy is also clever.
I recently started to watch more of Jimmy's videos. Incredibly brilliant young man!! Great to see how grounded he is within his success. I find one thing in this video ironic. Having just learned about how particular Jimmy is with his content and editing. The Nord VPN sponsorship clip is funny😊. Is it "tracking" or 'hacking". The video is excellent, just poking some healthy humor. Keep up the great work, and continue to inspire!!
This has to be the most value-added interview I've watched! Got me subbed!
This is the absolute best video I’ve watched of you guys! The continent in this video is clean, crisp, and full of knowledge! Keep it up!

this is a very underrated interview that a lot of creators need to watch
Thank you Reed for always adding value to my life. I constantly listen carefully to what you said in interviews. Thanks!
So much wisdom from Reed! And thank you so much for all the good questions 😁
Love this interview guys. Very insightful. One of your best.
New creator here, so I was very interested in the topic! One of those secret sauce check list items they look for is most definitely obsession. Obsession fuels many high-achievers. Colin and Samir, thank you for the great content. Super interesting and helpful. I've seen two of your videos thus far and both were very interesting. I subbed.
For creators you guys are the best. This is the insight I have been wondering about. The behind the scene person who keeps the engine running is so intriguing. Really took a lot from this one.
This is interesting! Informative but also a bit vague. I assume there’s only so much he can say but solid advice. It does make me realize you should interview LTT because I believe their business model is almost entirely in house. They broker their own ad deals and stuff as well as run their own merch-line.. Very different model from Jimmy.

The tiktoker discussion really got me thinking, and I realized that I also don’t really remember the brands of a lot of tiktok creators. I recognize them when they show up in my feed, but I don’t really know their brand that well. (As a casual user) I have noticed that the exception to this (at least for me) is people who use tiktok but build their brand primarily elsewhere. Some good examples would be John or Hank Green, or Dan Povenmire - these guys’ primary source of revenue and branding is outside of tiktok, and they just use tiktok to expand their reach further (and also have fun, it seems) Guys like them are probably the only tiktokers or shorts producers who will make it through the recession largely unscathed, because they don’t rely on brand deals through tiktok to stay afloat. Really interesting stuff to think about
