    Growing up my late granddad had a very big beard and my granny used to take care of his beard for him. I have fond memories of being allowed to brush his beard for him as a child. He was our very own Father Christmas.

    I’m in the process of growing my beard out to a longer length (yeard) for the second time. I’ve noticed that in both occasions that letting my beard grow naturally definitely helps the growth process. Keeping a molded or sculpted look kills my length gains. I also agree 100% with it adding character to your beard. Great video brother. 🍻

    Love this. It's like beard therapy for me. I have been trimming my own beard for years now. Never heard anyone explain to embrace your natural wave, curls before. I Inevitably regret huge beard trims and so does my partner! Leave it for a week work with your beard embrace your preconceived notion of what a perfect beard is, then when you're level headed trim. Great advice, stay bearded my Brothers!

    Thanks for putting out this video. For years i rocked a styled beard. I did all the timming myself. In Dec. i trimmed it and messed it up. I decided then to just leave it and see what it looks like by going natural in 4 to 5 months. I still keep it clean and use the oils and balms, but for now i am just going natural, no trimming. By the way your beard looks awesome. Hope mine looks that good when it gets that long.

    Greg it's unreal listening to what your saying about natural/styled beards. As its all about me. Until about eight months ago, I was obsessed with keeping my Beard sharp, and everything perfectly lined up. And it became an obsession. Every weekend I'd have my clippers out, and razor being obsessed with having a perfect short Beard. But since then, I only do anything to it once a month. And that's just trimming off the strays. And I feel a lot better, and happier about it. I'm now enjoying my Beard, were as before it was an obsession. Thanks for the great vids. Take care, stay safe. And keep up the great work. 😊

    Beards should inspire self-confidence and be a source of inspiration for the man who steps out of the societal "comfort zone" and grows one. That said, there is a fine line between a natural beard (ie who gives sh** how i look, thus i look homeless) and a styled beard (can't stop looking in a mirror to make sure i look good, i'm so scared). Great video Greg. Well done. Love to see a video on self-confidence and beards. Thanks.

    Believe me. I wish I could embrace my natural beard because my ocd drives me crazy trying to perfectly style mine and when it doesn't work it kills my mood. The problem is, my beard is ten times wavier and curlier than yours and the chin part has a huge wave that curls under my chin and straight out. So if I went natural, it would have no form or shape and look terrible. Your beards waves and curls almost look like it's already straightened. Great video either way. You always have a great and inviting attitude.

    One thing I have found about a beard is that it tends to grow on you. 😂 I have ti agree with the creator of this video, and I have found that many women do not like a thick beard. Speaking for myself, when I have grown my beard out for a few months, I have found time and again that many women didn't like it, even though it was neatly groomed.

  • @GregBoswell428

    @GregBoswell428

    For me personally, prior to about 3 or 4 months of growth it's pretty pointless to use a blow dryer, if my memory serves me correctly. But yeah, after that it's much easier. I usually apply oil first, style with a blow dryer, and then run beard butter or balm through it.

    Great video Greg. I'm 3 1/2 months growth again and loving it. I do get a little obsessive with it. But I definitely dont want to start blow drying it like I started doing a few years ago when I had 6 months growth. Looking to go natural. Got a question for you. I have a very thick. Similar you're similar to yours or even thicker, and if I use balm or butter, later in the evening or in the morning I can barely get a comb or brush through it. I have to almost soak it and little-by-little work the comb through. It's much easier if I take a shower and wash or condition it and than comb. Do you have same experience?
