A lot of bands, possibly even the majority of them, go through a drummer or two, and nobody really notices it since most of them are pretty similar. However, some bands' sound is partly defined by their drummer, and going through a drummer change would have a noticeable effect. The National is one of those bands.

I Love this song. Its awesome!
The twins = Merry from the Lord of the rings.
Seen these guys perform at made in america in philly. Now have a new favorite band
They sound SO GOOD in this live performance. SNL Studio never disappoints.
Of all the SNLs, I miss this one?

You didn't miss much, beside the performances nothing was truly outstanding, Lena Dunham sucks.

***** I guess its not really about her, but I hate her show "Girls," and I dislike her reactions to things outside of her shows

***** She's just one of those generally divisive people. She gets the kind of equal love and hate usually reserved for a politician or a pop singer. I love her, but everyone I meet can't stand her.
i just googled the shit to find out what band this was... i forgot the name, ive heard the band name before but didn't know they sounded this good... glad i found it. i searched every band that played a late nite show in the past month.
Goosebumps for sure!
I'm so fucking excited! Going to see these guys April 28-29 in Cincinnati!!!
Total talent
Boxer by The National is like one of the best albums ever made. Like cmon people

When did you fell in love?😉
when matt started screaming i was like WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This and the band "Of Monsters and Men" are the best 2 music performances in a very long time! Love it.
that screaming at the end made me so dam happy
hell yeah scott
Amazing
Everything about this video is cool. Esp the beginning!
Walter White has a surprisingly lovely voice
That last time I saw a band truly amazing, inspirational, and rock on SNL in years. Not some usual blasae hybrid of Mumford & Sons or Coldplay...
Singer is William Hurt's doppelganger
Their drummer is another brother - Brian Devendorf!! Awesome, indeed.
Bella...
Soo cool
“I’m going through the glass again, come and find me”
Genial!
i wanna give him some wine and kiss him on the forehead
