What an incredible performance! Looks like the guys absolutely killed it last night, Matt was on fire
Incredible song and performance
Amazing band, amazing performance. Just sad they didn’t play ‘Once Upon a Poolside’
Wonderful performance 🎉🎉🎉
This is the energy and tempo that this song needs to truly thrive

My number 1 for a few years now. Saw them play live at the Depot (Manchester ) in 2022 . My favourite live performance since the 1980's ! (Wall of Voodoo, Thin White Rope , Dead Can Dance, Joy Division ) The 1980's is for me only behind the 1960's for great albums/bands)
🎵👍👍
Will there be a complete performance recorded in this channel?
Why were the National and London Grammar not on the Pyramid Stage ? .Both fantastic last night. No wonder that not many bothered to watch the main headliner on the pyramid stage last night.

I’d say they were in the right place. Both fantastic headline bands but also both bands with niche support. Those who love them, really love them. Most others don’t know them They could play the pyramid but they’d probably be second headliners not the final act and that kind of undersells them The problem is the SZA is exactly the same. If she’d headlined the park stage like London Grammar she’d probably have had great support

@@MrEwragg The National have played the Pyramid Stage . On a Saturday afternoon if I remember rightly around 10 years ago. London Grammar have never played the Pyramid stage but they always attract a sizeable audience whatever stage they play (The tent , other stage etc) . hardly surprising for band whose debut album got to number 2 in the charts . Subsequent Albums have got to Number 1.

@@keithbate9405 I saw the national on the pyramid stage. If I remember rightly, they were supporting the Foo Fighters. They 100% have the backing to play on the pyramid stage but I’d make the claim that headlining the other stage is bigger than playing second to last on the pyramid stage. Same for London grammar. Could they play the pyramid stage? Of course. Could they headline? No they’re just not well known enough to a regular music goer at the minute. Headlining the Park stage is huge though. Equal to being on at 18:00 on the pyramid if you ask me

@@MrEwragg London Grammar's debut album got to number 2 in the UK charts 11 years ago. Subsequent albums have got to Number 1 . They are now selling out mega venues. Scissor is virtually unknown in this country. . Maybe the least popular Sunday headliner in the 50 plus history of Glastonbury,. A sparse crowd . When you consider who was playing other stages at the same time . hardly surprising.

@@keithbate9405 I’m sorry I’m not quite sure what you are trying to say. I know London Grammar are popular. I think they’re fantastic. If they weren’t popular then they wouldn’t be headlining the park stage. I said SZA was a poor choice. I said her UK fan base wasn’t big enough and she should have performed somewhere else. This year, it probably would have been smart for the national to headline the main stage, London grammar the other stage and SZA the park stage but I also think the average music fan would call that underwhelming. None of those acts have the global appeal we consider when looking at previous headline acts. The key for pyramid headliners is to not only have a strong support but also by well known enough that, those who aren’t dedicated fans, will also come. None of those acts live up to the heights people have come to expect from a glasto headliner. Acts like the foo fighters, Radiohead, Billy Eilish. Elton John, Paul McCartney, Stormzy, the Arctic Monkeys. Etc It’s not that they aren’t good enough. They’re fantastic and I think they’re much better than some acts I just mentioned. Easily big enough to headline the other stage. Easily big enough to play as second headliners on a pyramid slot. Just not sure they’re big enough to actually be main headliners at the festival That being said, new album out this year. If that hits number 1 then you’ve got a strong case
Was the sound mixing rough for the whole festival? Every performance I've heard is a bit off

Tell me you've never heard an album of The National without telling me you've never heard an album of The National.
