The National Curriculum in Primary Schools

Does the National Curriculum apply to children in primary schools? Well, this video explains. The National Curriculum, chosen by the Government, applies to all state primaries. It’s a set of guidelines telling schools the subject areas they must teach to children of different ages. It also decides how and when they should assess their pupils.
So, yes, the National Curriculum does apply to children in primary schools, but how does it affect them? Why do we have a National Curriculum? Do all schools follow it? What are key stages? What ages, years and assessments are in each key stage? Which subjects are taught in primary schools? How are primary school children tested? What are the new national tests in primary schools?
You’ll find the answers to all these questions in this video. Alternatively, you can read a written version here: www.educationquizzes.com/know...

We feel that kids podcasts should be an addition to national school curriculums. We created a fun silly one called Fly My Way that kids are loving so far. Check us out! :)
