Insane how this is coming up to 23 years old

I just love this. I loved how they sung God Save the Queen for the start of the 3rd millennium. I was born in 2000 myself(May to be exact) and i just think that it was a great way to start off the millennium!

Now that’s how to start the millennium in England.

Have you got Auld Lang Syne from the same show? Historic that was.

@Insperato62 You are of course entitled to your opinion. Indeed I share your thoughts, but I would not be so rude about the American 'schmaltz'- as you put it. The fact they did not know the words was extremely dissapointing. I would not worry too much. I feel sure it will not be repeated in this manner at the Olympics next year.

I imgine so, I think I recorded the whole prog. I'll see what I can find, but it will take a while.

Like most things in life, it is a matter of choice. I personally do not like it very much. I believe it was arranged for all 'races and creeds' represented, to show a united front and pay their respect to HM Queen Elizabeth II - which they duly did. The fact that the lead male singer could not remember the lyric, must have been a cause of great embarassment...
