The Narrows In Blanco, TX

A good friend of mine and I drove just 45 minutes north of San Antonio, TX to Blanco, TX where this wonder lives, known as The Narrows. Although it rained, we trekked the 7 mile hike to get to this destination and back, totaling 14 miles. Altogether, our trip was 9 hours. We hope you enjoy what we captured on a GoPro HERO8 Black. Let me know if you have any questions!

This is nice to see. Would rather see it live in person. Even if I had to leave a deposit to ensure we kept it clean and respect the land for others to see. These guys seemed like they are good and didn't leave trash or pollute the land. Bye Felicia

Bet the locals were quite upset. Bet some of them may be making comments here to dissuade people from going. Since they are such Jerks I recommend this to any advanced hiker, make sure you take rope, and under no circumstances should you set foot out of the river bed. There are cameras everywhere, also get dropped off the locals will vandalize vehicles left whether parked legally or not, and the local cops help them in their intimidation efforts. Know your rights, visit this treasure but please take care of it while you are there!

The easiest legal way to get there is if hike from County Road 407 and make sure you stay on the Blanco River bed the whole time. It's a tough long hike and be aware that land owners there hate people going to The Narrows and might call the police. Some people also carry printed law on a paper while hiking to Thr Narrows. Also not good idea to park on the county road. It'll alert the land owners and it's actually illegal to park on that county road now.

Ronie Calzoncinth I use the bike to ride from where I park my car to the beginning of the river bed off of 407. I did ditch it. Hike the rest of it. It was a total of 14 1/2 miles altogether. Make sure to check the weather. Get a early start. Luckily it was raining so it was good.

Did you hike from County Road 407 or from Valley View Rd, and did you run into issues with land owners there? I've heard it's illegal to park on County Road 407. Land owners there and the sherrifs hates people going there even if hikers stay on the Blanco River bed. Land owners and sherrif there are corrupt from what people had been sharing online about The Narrows.

Should people not respectfully enjoy nature's beauty? This place is womdrous. It is a beautiful place worth seeing because nature is beautiful and it is for everyone to enjoy. Leave shit alone? You afraid they might break something? This is such a Karen thing to comment. If people are going there littering and trashing the place I could understand the sentiment...but that is not what is going on here
