Emerging as a new star in the showbiz, Neo Yau is taking baby steps towards his dreams - of acting and playwriting. Graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), he and his partners started off establishing the group ‘Mocking Jer’, in which the first production has gained over 100 thousands views online in just a few weeks’ time. The two local movies, ‘For Love, We Can’ and ‘She Remembers, He Forgets’, boosted his fame among the Hong Kong audience and have earned him recognitions. As a movie-lover, Neo has been indulging in movie appreciation and production since his childhood, under the influence of his family. His strong urge to perform and his belief in local production are his greatest motivation and drive in his acting and script-writing career. With Stanley Kubrick as his favorite director back in the days in HKAPA, Neo believes that imitation is the root of improving performance.

It's always difficult to make a compelling and inspirational speech with your second languages ( I am sure Neo would rather do a speech in English then in Mandarin)! I think the speech served its purpose and I congratulate him on his success!

Thanks to the algorithm I'm here.. In fact what he's saying that people cant possibly become a movie actor from a youtuber, is just like what Mr. Siu asserted in a way, where he publicly spoke against... But I'm sure now Neo may rethink it seeing the success of Trial and error.

Actually the English is not that bad, all you need is to speed up 1.25x and then the speed rate will be normal.

2014 should be spoken as twenty fourteen, but he made a sort of obvious mistake during the speech that he said in two o one four, what he wanted to say is 2014.
I doubt that those who don’t understand Cantonese can fully absorb what he talked about because there are names and films which I doubt they have ever heard of, in that case what’s the point making Mr. Yau to speak in English? His English is good but I think the talk would be different in Cantonese, maybe better? I don’t know. If he could express himself better in mother language so the talk would be better , then I’m sorry for those who can understand Cantonese . Or I am wrong.
