"Ode to Ganga" what a brilliant composition! I cannot imagine how difficult it must've been to learn and execute this piece. So impressed 🙏

This choir made India proud Our Indian brothers and sisters from another state who thinks Nagas are Chinese should watch this.......

Thank God that TNCC won in both categories they participated. At one point of time it was difficult to say whether they could participate because of financial constraints. However because of well-wishes they were able to. I do hope in future the govt. Both state and centre sponsor when talents represent the country.

This is awesome, composing the song and executing it like this in a foreign platform is just outstanding. Its not a common Gospel choir type we hear in Nagaland, its a blend of Indian classical music and all kinds of sounds in India which they are representing. Lets see things in positive way sometimes.

Been following this journey of the NCC. Please clarify some confusion. 1. In how many categories is the NCC participating? 2. On what basis are winners to be selected? 3. I see at least three venues for this Games. Are performances to be done at all venues? 4. What are the prizes on offer? 5. How was NCC selected to represent India, considering there are other choirs in other parts of the country? Thanks.

1. In 2 categories 2. By 10 judges panel 3. There are many categories including children 4. Gold, silver and bronze. 5. TNCC qualified as per their performance from the previous competition in Srilanka 2017. They got 2 silver meda and 2 gold diplomas in that competition which led to direct qualifications into this year event.

You should watch the full video to know that . I think they sang another song in sumi too .

If you think that this is the only song they have sung, it's surely disappointing. Not for the way it was sung but the song just didn't have enough to showcase their abilities. But This was one of the many songs they sang. Makes sense to diversify and bring a different flavor to the songs to break the monotony of the other powerful and Naga sounds influenced songs. Let's not be too quick in spitting hate.

Good …just my opinion …”Deliver Us “from the Prince of Egypt as a reference to deliverance from corruption, injustice and chaos in this world would have been beautiful …just as the Taiwanese choir sang which was of great significance like their cries to be delivered .

What a meaningful song.

Not an expert nor a cynic but from a laymans perspective.. Appreciate the effort and as a Choir I have listened growing up without any disrespect or bad intentions i just felt it did not feel home or comfortable seeing such dances and arrangement of the song.. Something original in terms of adding a little more folk, more Naga wud have been great coz Nagaland is also India right.. but if this was just one of ur many songs then tats ok👍 just my opinion only though..🙏 Stil a fan of NCC... 👍

music students will know but for a nobody like me ...i think the category where they did not use lyrics or words is called ' descant ' one where words arent used but they are rather judged by how they make their own sounds, harmonies, musical complexity of techniques etc . And they use indian sounds in this category while the first one where they sang in sumi dialect was the one with word lyrics. Coir or music students have organised concerts or competitions in their school and i have attended it . They are also judged and made to sing without words but rather a whole song is made only with sounds and harmonies . Truely magnificent.

Music is a divine blessing and it is essential that we preserve its true essence without misrepresentation. This specific tune and accompanying dance form are intricately linked to the worship of the Hindu deity Shiva. While I hold no objection to the artistic aspect of it, as a Christian I believe it is inappropriate to promote such practices using the Name Naga because I am One and I don’t condone it. I’m a fan of NCC but this was disappointing.

Trying a new type of song isn't disappointing. This was good because of the experiences they have. You're not part of the choir, and perhaps you don't even know the meaning of music...if you hate it, just leave. We don't need to see you hate on it hoping for attention.

We got a golden chance to represent india from a small state like ours, so we should be thankful n present a good song but this kind of song is just a meaningless.. In the long run if we perform like this I think there is little chances to get a platform like this n international level, so dissatisfaction n disappointing presentation.

Appreciate the effort of the choir but there is a big difference between creativity and craziness. Trying to be unique and new trendsetter is appreciable but it have to be in tandem with meanings and purposes. Wrong choice of song. But they will do better in future.
