The RESURRECTION OF JESUS is the foundation of the Christian Faith. Rabbi Michael Skobac of Jews or Judaism asks "What if the Resurrection of Jesus did not happen. What if Jesus’ Resurrection could be proven false?" Jews for Jesus, Messianic Jews, Jewish Christians and Evangelical Christians will be forced to see the Resurrection story through different lenses. In their attempt to convert Jews, Christian missionaries promote the alleged resurrection of Jesus as the most compelling argument for their faith. Rabbi Skobac presents a Jewish evaluation of this claim and probes the evidence provided for the Resurrection.

Very well explained. Thank you. The kingdom did Not come. And though raised in church I never could believe in his resurrection. I have a Jewish Bible/Tenaka and that's what I rely on.

Christie Im Greek and used to be Christian orthodox (the right doctrine). Christianity is completely fake. Im an atheist, but what Rabbi says here its only the tip of the iceberg. Check Prof Bart Ehrman. You will learn a lot. Christianity exists because of constantine. But they make ridiculous claims and the gospels are not historical documents.

The soul and the body are so different. The Body feels the pain, the suffering, and the physical abuse. The soul, only wants to get out as soon as it can. I hope I go without pain or suffering.

I personally witnessed this with some of the members of the Lubavitcher movement when the Rebbe died. I said, "what part of this don't you get? he's not the moshiach, he passed away" STILL THEY DENIED THIS. I found this amazing and had an insight into the beginnings of Christianity. Perhaps Im wrong, just how it appeared to me.

The Torah maintains that the righteous Gentiles of all nations (those observing the Seven Laws of Noah, listed below) have a place in the World to Come. But not all religious Gentiles earn eternal life by virtue of observing their religion: • While it is recognized that Moslems worship the same God that we do (though calling him Allah, He is the same God of Israel), even those who follow the tenets of their religion cannot be considered righteous in the eyes of God, because they do not accept that the Written Torah in the hands of the Jews today is the original Torah handed down by God and they do not accept the Seven Laws of Noah as binding on them. • While the Christians do generally accept the Hebrew Bible as truly from God, many of them (those who accept the so-called divinity of Jesus) are idolaters according to the Torah, punishable by death, and certainly will not enjoy the World to Come. But it is not just being a member of a denomination in which the majority are believers in the Trinity that is idolatry, but personal idolatrous practice, whatever the individual's affiliation. Contrary to popular belief, the Torah does not maintain that Jews are necessarily better than other people simply because they are Jews. Although we are God's chosen people, we do not believe that God chose the Jews because of any inherent superiority. According to a story in the Talmud, God offered the Torah to all the nations of the earth, and the Jews were the only ones who accepted it. According to another story, the Jews were offered the Torah last, and accepted it only because God held a mountain over their heads! Another traditional story suggests that God chose the Jews because they were the lowliest of nations, and their success would be attributed to God's might rather than their own ability. Clearly, these are not the ideas of a people who think they are inherently better than other nations. Because of our acceptance of Torah, Jews have a special status in the eyes of God, but we lose that special status when we abandon Torah. Furthermore, the blessings that we received from God by accepting the Torah come with a high price: Jews have a greater responsibility than non-Jews. While non-Jews are only obligated to obey the seven commandments given to Noah, Jews are responsible for fulfilling the 613 mitzvot in the Torah, thus God will punish Jews for doing many things that would not be a sin for non-Jews. The Seven Laws of Noah According to Torah tradition, God gave Noah and his family seven commandments to observe when he saved them from the flood. These commandments, referred to as the Noahic or Noahide commandments, are learned by tradition but also suggested in Genesis Chapter 9, and are as follows: 1. not to commit idolatry 2. not to commit blasphemy 3. not to commit murder 4. not to have forbidden sexual relations 5. not to commit theft 6. not to eat flesh cut from a living animal 7. to establish courts of justice to punish violators of the other six laws. This video THE SEVEN LAWS of NOAH - TORAH FOR NON-JEWS AND GENTILES was produced by Rabbi Michael Skobac, Director of Education for Jews for Judaism kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4Nl2MdteNaagNI.html If you have further questions, please contact RabbiSkobac@jewsforjudaism.ca Thank you.

I don’t know why this hasn’t been brought up but if the sign of Jonah, 3 days and 3 nights in the grave is the sign then Christians can’t even count to 3. Friday-Saturday (1) Saturday to an empty tomb on Sunday is at best 2 days but more like a day and a half since we don’t know for sure when he was supposedly resurrected but it would appear sometime Saturday night/early Sunday morning. Very awesome teaching on the false belief of jesus resurrection. As much as i love this teaching when it comes to the resurrection story people forget something important when they debate if jesus was in a tomb, or his body was removed and hidden? This is also a distraction to another huge problem to the resurrection story.....the romans crucified for treason against Rome....they didn't let people come along and remove a body. If you were alive in jesus time frame, If you were caught removing a body from a cross you saw going by, you would most likely end up dead. Bodies crucified were left to decompose on the cross. Over time, after the scavengers are done you may find a few bones that fell to the ground. The roman empire had a system of law and order. Spartacus's followers that didn't end up dead in the final battle with the roman legions (during slave revolt), were crucified. They did treason against rome by rebelling and attacking roman citizens.

God will get no medicine for humanity as long as we try to separate the Oneness with our brilliant individual study and theory ... I understand your questioning and I know soon you'll have your answer. God blessing!

Thank you. I think it's a real shame that the words of the Jewish Bible and G-ds "character" are misrepresented, taken out of context and read without noting the vast body of Jewish literature commenting the Bible. Judaism actually makes sense not only opposed to Christianity but in itself. But everybody in the Christian world seems to believe that the New Testament and Jesus supposed self-sacrifice are a progress from the allegedly brutal and insane god of the so-called Old Testament to a now really loving god. I think the opposite is true. Hashem forbids idolatry and pagan practices such as killing babies, children and adults for religious purposes. It is forbidden to kill someone to appease G-d. So why in the world would Hashem change his mind and need a human sacrifice to be appeased?

Why do people need to believe in a resurrection? What does it prove - that Jesus was from God? The whole point is to believe that, along with the testimony, by faith! The biggest miracle for me was when I learned that I was a child of God and that God is always faithful. Truly the resurrection means nothing compared to this. Whether or not there was a bodily resurrection of the man so many people call "Jesus" doesn't matter a bit to me.

"Jesus" was not "buried", according to the NT. He was 'placed in a tomb', i.e. a cave - with a huge stone blocking the entrance. So "Jesus" comparing himself to Jonah being "buried in the stomach of a big fish" is just bogus.

@JEWSFORJUDAISMCANADA - Rabbi, you just disproved Judaism!!!!! 1 hour in your speech you mentioned as the first disproof that if the resurrection did happen there would be a shrine in it's location. and without it proves it didn't happen. Using that same logic, then if you can't show where is mount Sinai and Moses grave, then you have NO foundation to Judaism either!!!!!!
