When i was around 4 to 6 (well i was technically born there) but i used to live in this HUUUGE mansion that was kind of like a farm-like or vintage if you will. It had beautiful flower gardens and my parets worked there 24/7 so we lived in the house for the majority of time. I was so in love with all the animals and nature there. I remember not knowing anything about fairies when i was 5 and my mom told me i used to sit in the garden at night (mind you the place was far away it was between the woods and the sea) and talk to "myself". My dad used to joke around that i had imaginary friends and me (being the weird, curious kid i was) would always tell him NO IT'S THE FAIRIES and they will laugh about it. Then one day my mom didn't let me go out in the garden to see what would happen. That part i particularly remember. I went to open the door and she said 'No, Gabby, we're watching a movie tonight!'. I was so calm about it just said ok so she went with it. Later i fell asleep on the couch and she said i was apologizing in my sleep to someone. I never really talked in my sleep but she shrug it off again. We all fell asleep in the living room and that's where my dad's perspective comes in. He said in the middle of the night he woke up to the TV being turned off the pillows neatly placed in their places, except the ones they were lying on and i wasn't on the couch. He got up to look for me and saw me in the garden (the door was locked and it was hard to unlock, a 5 year old couldn't do it) and he said from what he saw i was singing to something twinkle twinkle little star and then 1 minute later said thanks, giggled and sat on the grass looking at the stars. NOW IDK WTF WAS THAT BUT I WAS EITHER A REALLY INSANE CHILD OR WE HAD FAIRIES...

One day, a couple years ago, my mom came up from watching a movie with my dad downstairs in the TV room, at about midnight. She went into the kitchen, which has a sunroom behind it, and she claims to have seen hundreds of fairies in the garden.

So I have a story about fairies as well. Now I grew up with the folklore that fairies like to play tricks on people, that they can be helpful and equally they can be mischievous. So I’m probably about 5 and I notice my cat standing on the edge of the woods staring at me, which was unusual. It seemed like she wanted me to come to her so I did and when I did she turned and walked. She was walking a slow pace so I could follow and I did. I walked for a while and looked up and realized I had no idea where I was. We lived around 100 acres of woods so I could have been very lost. I realized also that my cat had disappeared. So being 5 I was upset and laid down on the ground sobbing my heart out when all of a sudden I heard a voice say “shh listen for the road” and I was so startled I jumped up looking around who said it and sure enough I heard the sound of cars. I ended up finding the road and making my way back home. I think maybe some fairies used my cat to play a trick on me and maybe once they saw me cry they felt bad and helped me get home.

Roniel Hallare depends on what folklore you’re talking about. Considering fairy lore was around pre Christianity I don’t count fairies as part of Christian mythology. Celtic folklore talks about fairies being mischievous

I can DEFINITELY relate! My grandma has told me that when I was small, I had the same interactions with nature as you've described. Stopping for every flower, weed, rock, and cricket because I had to say hello and tell them I loved them. Even my existence was acknowledged by our family cat before my mom realized she was pregnant with me and that cat slept at my feet in my crib and was my best friend until he developed feline leukemia when I was five. Later, around 11 to 13, I would occasionally sneak out of my house and go off to the smallish patch of woods by our house(it was my second home for so long and I probably created more trails than the deer) in the middle of the night. I would hang out in this circle where grass and weeds didn't ever grow, just a soft wheat colored type of grass, and either spin in circles giggling or just lay in the middle looking up at the trees and if I lay there long enough, rabbits and deer would come close to me. I can't recall seeing little creaturs, but I've seen lights all my life, some blue or white, but usually yellow.

My grandmother's house sits on 3 acres in the middle of a huge forest (in Florida) and as a child her and I used to go on adventures through the forest where I would tell her about all the creatures who were playing and working around us. My grandma always encouraged it and even though she couldn't see them, she believed me when I said that they were there. I still remember it vividly and even today as an adult I feel a peaceful presence in my grandmother's garden (a huge 2 acre big flower garden) with fairies who live there.

I believe you! In Mexico it's really common for children to see gnomes. They are know to be trouble makers and also described as little people. My aunt swears she saw they when she was little.

Iateyourveggies yep, when I went to Mexico I heard voices while playing tag with my cousins. But I thought my cousins were laughing and were near me, but apparently they were all somewhere else. I was hearing voices it was creepy tbh, plus my grandma warned me that there's a lot of them where I was hiding.

PauliinaLovesLIkeWoe I like hearing about nahuales. Where my dad is from there was a person that would transform into a pig and steal chickens. Also my uncle told me of this one lady whose son came to the US and when people would ask if she missed him she would be like how she sees him every night. Her husband would usually come home drunk every night, and one night he wasn't so drunk and he saw her transforming into a human but she had feathers. So basically she would turn to a bird of some sort. He stopped his drinking habit. 😅

I have a third eye... I can see outlines and auras of the paranormal. I also can see orbs. I know that isn't special but I have something that usually mediums have. I can talk to spirits whenever I want, no tools (as in Ouija Boards etc.) I also have a spiritual guide who talks to me and I can respond back. They help with my everyday life and my physic/medium powers. I commented this before but I thought this is pretty cool for this specific topic.

When I was younger, me and my friend(who is like 4 years older than me) would sit in her yard and play with fairies. I thought I was just imagining them. This makes it seem so much more real.

When I was very little, I lived in the woods. My childhood home was in the rural areas and I had the woods as my playgrounds. I would frequently spend time in the woods, playing with fairies, elves, a troll, and other woodland magic creatures all day. This would be until I turned 13 and had horses to direct my time to. But I still "feel" their energy in the woods I own now by the river.

I feel like I'm watching a fairy teach me about fairies. 💞

This video heavily resonates with me. My grandfather's house has beautiful gardens both in the front yard and the back yard. There is a lot of gnomes and fairies. I've personally seen both and it's honestly the most beautiful thing ever. His house also has a vortex and I've had so many wonderful experiences in that house.

This is so magical! I feel like my childhood is flooding back into me. Beautiful story.

You still could! Many older people have experiences with them, but this is mostly people who practice witchcraft and choose to work with faeries, I hope to try and come into contact with them one day. It's just that they need to trust you, humans have caused so much destruction to the earth, if you're doing your best to not contribute to that and you respectfully reach out to them, you may get lucky.

Although I have never actually seen "little people", I've always felt that they do exist! I have, however, been able to see and know if a place has spirits in residents. Some I have actually seen and spoke to by name and others I just "knew" were there. Most that have experienced was good, but there were a few that I couldn't be around because terrify me!

Oddly enough, I never saw anything paranormal or magical as a kid, but I've always believed in just about everything. There was something odd that happened as a kid, but other than that I've had 2 different experiences as a grown up ntm recently caught a full body apparition during an investigation of a haunted location. So to me I'm more of the mindset that figures "why can't it exist"? Lol.

Religious trigger warning. I'm not trying to flame anyone in any religion, I jut want to state a theory on this that includes the Christian/Catholic etc faiths. They say that back before Christ, we used to live in harmony with the fae and witches (witches did not have the evil connotation they came to have eventually). However, when the religions of Christ were being born and people were being taught to fear magic, the fae felt threatened and to protect themselves, moved to another plain of existence. Witches (some, not all) decided to stay behind as they didn't want to give in as easily as the fae had. Children are more likely to see the fae and the fae realm as they are innocent and have not yet been corrupted by the upbringing of fear-induced teachings. When we see ghosts, fae, etc, it's because they have changed their vibrations to match the vibration of our plain of existence, thus giving us insight to their world or being able to make contact. I can't remember where in the 11 plains/dimensions we are, but if I'm correct, we're around the 4th/5th plain. Apparently the higher in frequency you go, the closer to heaven you get, and the lower you go, the closer to hell you get. Just a bit of theory I have been exploring since my high school years.

Kitten Angel this is so interesting. How can someone go up dimensions, or bad people go down how does that work what constitutes you going down or up. And does the person know if they've changed dimensions?

When I was a kid there were these little buildings that were little houses and castles around the town that my grandma lived in and I used to tell her that there were fairies, elves, and gnomes that lived in them and every weekend I would dress fancy so I could go see my elf friends that lived in the little castles. This reminded me so much of that!

When I was little my best friend and I made a Fairy Believers club. We would meet in her bedroom and stack up our fairy books and set up our tinker bell dolls on top, then we would do our oath and salute, read our books then go into the woods in the backyard and build fairy houses. I remember during a meeting we talked about snow fairies and how they disguised themselves as snowflakes at at that moment a snowflake flew in front of her window and fluttered around like it was sentient or something. I honestly completely forgot about it until I watched this video.

That painting reminds me of snowwhite and the seven dwarves... Doc is at the front, dopey is at the back, and in the middle look like bashful and Sneezy are you sure he painted that photo? or did he use snow white characters as references?

Awe that's so awesome you and your family had those experiences! I lived with my Grams when i was little and i have a special memory very clear of standing on my bed and holding my hand out along my window sill and a little person walking off of my hand onto the window sill! That part i remember so clearly of him walking off my hand. i believe there were at least 2 other little people already on the sill. My bedroom was also facing the garden. I certainly believe! I have always been into all kinds of things having to do with faeries but i could never find anything with a faery besides Tinkerbell. But atleast now days they are much more popular and easy to find. Listening to your experience reassures me that it wasn't just my imagination or a dream. 💜💜

I really love how strong your faith is :) I'm pagan, but I'm also a huge skeptic when it comes to paranormal stuff, so it's really nice and refreshing seeing you talk about these fairies and gnomes so enthusiastically! Her best friend, who use to live with my grandparents (they took care of a lot of kids, grandkids, friends kids, and even a couple of neighbors kids) has saw, or heard ghosts also. My aunt lives with them now (she's my grandmothers sister). I have seen this woman in white, her hair was always in a neatly done bun, and the dress wasn't long, but it also looked a little torn in places. She walks in and out from my aunts room. There's also another woman, who wears a night gown, but it's usually in white, green, or a blue colored gown. She has black curly short hair, and she will out from the kitchen, and go to bathroom and back. (I've never seen her but my grandfather and mother have seen her). I've seen this little girl in the kitchen, she has never shown the right of her face, she usually hides behind the doorframe or will have her face turned to the side. There are other ones also, and it's a man who likes to smoke, and the other who wonders around the hall by the bathroom, my room, and my aunts room (I stay at my grandparents a lot). I would say more but I don't even think people are still reading this...or believing it lmao. I really don't know how to explain all this, but it's really creepy.

Anyone remember the show called Goosebumps? I remember the episode of the gnomes that came alive at night. I’ll never be able to forget that because I think it spooked the hell out of me. Now that I’m older I still have this feeling that anything in the night will come alive.

I know this is a little late to the party, and sounds super crazy, but there is a whole community of people who speak to and become friends with these being, my roommate and I being one of them. I would be able to tell you so much about this sort of thing, along with my friends the faun, the water lady, the elf and the angel. Again, sounds crazy, but it made me so excited to watch this video!

Wow Hailey, I'm telling you that it's like I'm seeing all of this stuff flash between the past and the things that I'm going to change for future generations. As an indigenous person, it's like I can mentally see all of these things even if my physical self can't see them. As you say 'the little people' my grandmother would see them quite often while working in the garden and the land. I do believe in fairies and all the little things that our physical self can't see but our spiritual self can. You've honestly helped me so much in opening up to these 'unknown' things/beliefs. I remember as a kid my neighbor got a “fairy hunting kit” and we put this door next to a certain mushroom and I remember I woke up at about 4 am and didn’t go back to sleep and nobody else was awake but at 10 am and we went and checked the mushroom and there was suddenly pink glitter all over the mushroom and I have no idea what this means still to this day.

ever since I saw this video a month ago I have been so obsessedddd with fairies. I have been researching and reading up on them and now I fully believe in them, not many youtubers have talked about fairies and other mystical magical creatures which is annoying, but thank you Hailey for sprinkling me with fairy dust!!!
