The Mystery of TWA Flight 800

Primetime Live: The Mystery of TWA Flight 800
June 1997, Sam Donaldson, along with Diane Sawyer, co-anchored an episode of "PrimeTime Live" dedicated to the mystery of TWA Flight 800. In the episode, Donaldson interviewed James Kallstrom, head of the FBI in New York; Secretary of the Navy John Dalton; and Bernard Loeb, the NTSB chief investigator, who told "PrimeTime" he believed the crash could have been prevented and could happen again.

    In 2022, former Navy Operations Specialist William H. Teele, III from the U.S.S. Carr (FFG-52) came forward as a whistle blower, reporting that the U.S. Navy accidentally shot down TWA Flight 800. The USS Carr was taking part in the CEC Training Exercise on July 17, 1996, testing its new AN/SPY-1 Alpha radar, as well as new AN/SPS 49 radar. For this simulated air attack, the target was to be a drone. Teele's mission as operations specialist was to operate radar and associated equipment, identify and maintain a display (plot) of the movement of ships, aircraft, missiles, and natural objects detected by observation radar. The USS Carr began a combat systems ship qualification test. The goal was to certify her newly installed MK 92 Mod 6 fire system. The ship's crew was specifically testing its new AN/SPY-1 Alpha radar, as well as new AN/SPS 49 radar for this simulated air attack. Operations specialist Teele was among the personnel monitoring this activity from within the ships combat information center (CIC). The CIC was created to integrate the information coming from each of the combatants sensors-range, bearing, elevation, doppler updates, etc. and feed the integrated picture back to the individual, Teele explained. One ship could track the assumed enemy, while the other ship could fire. Teele described the assumed enemy drone was supposed to be "a low, slow flier flying toward us. I believe we jumped the gun. We had a track on a contact that came out that fit the profile we were given." But it was, in fact, TWA 800 and NOT the target drone. Then, horrifically, TWA 800 became the "assumed enemy". Says Teele, "it matched the drill parameters perfectly." He believes that two missiles were fired from the USS Lexte Gulf. Over his head set, Teele heard the announcement "Birds away, salvo size two. Stand by for BDA (Battle Damage Assessment)". A few minutes later, he heard "splash", meaning that the missiles had hit their target. Astonishingly, soon after that, Teele heard somebody say, "Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa" and another person added, "Wait a minute. We hit an air bus!!!!". Then, somebody came over the radio ordering "Radio Silence!". Teele's leading petty officer made it extremely clear to him that he was to say nothing of what he saw and heard. "My Chief and the Ops Boss came back into the CIC & said "the drill's over, we gotta do some maneuver drills." These fast, evasive maneuvers of ships in W-105 moving away from the crash site are consistent with the Coast Guard surface radar tapes. Teele said, "We then ran to Bermuda, where we were not allowed to leave the ship. No phone calls, emails secured, and nothing was to be discussed...."

    I always have and still do favor the notion that it was intentionally shot down. Why I have no clue but it has always struck me as odd that the military would be using live munitions right in the path of commercial airlines. I know one time when I was looking over the list of people who perished on the plane one was a defense industry specialist. Whether or not that is a position where one could possess the detrimental top secret information to warrant shooting a whole plane down I don't know. I still just have a feeling that it was intentional.

    N93119 had flown for 10 hours prior to becoming flight 800, from Athens to New York. The fuselage had been exposed to freezing temperatures down to minus 50 degrees celcius at least. After that flight, she was only on the ground at Kennedy for about four hours. The big deal made at the time was that the plane had been sitting on the hot tarmac (28 degrees Celsius) in New York with the A/C running full blast "for hours", which supposedly heated the nearly empty centre wing tank, and vaporised the residual fuel to flashpoint. How warm or hot was that tank really after the takeoff for Paris? This was never questioned. The tests that were done only showed the best scenario for the outcome of the investigation, in favor of a short circuit. They flew an ex- Pan Am 747-100 of Evergreen Airlines over a warm part of the US at a relatively low altitude to come to the conclusion that the centre wing tank could reach these alarming high temps. Now, I can't help but think that that tank on that plane never got a chance to heat up and become volatile the way they stated. Especially not to blow the plane apart the way it did. Not by a tiny spark. The sea remained ablaze for hours after impact. This tells me that something much more violent than a simple fuel/air explosion took place midflight. I can only hope that one day, the truth will come out. The 747 involved was from 1971 and had logged over 93,000 hours. As history would later have it, these planes could easily last that long. 14 people's remains never recovered? That's a lot of people. Something very very violent decimated those people...

    The truth is out. It was a missile, but we don't yet know who's, but not the US navy. nonsense. and then run....nonsense. thats what needs to be done, find out who's missiles. The NTSB was cited for fraud in court, and their scenario was proven false in court. So it continues, but the government is not going to help.

    You’re forgetting that the aircondition packs, located under the tank, heated up way beyond ambient temperature. The packs, when operating, was estimated to be 176 degrees Celsius. So add that to the ambient temperature, and the tanks could easily heat up quickly. As for the sea being ablaze for hours, that’s what you get when the plane broke up releasing tons of fuel from the wings which caught fire…

  • @dutchy1176

    @dutchy1176

    10 ай бұрын

    @@tiadaid I did take the airconditioning packs into concideration in my comment. I'm only steering towards the fact that the real possible temperature inside the tank of flight 800 was never calculated during the 30 million dollar investigation. The plane was in the air for 12 minutes before the disaster. Wingvents vented the tank during this time. The tank cooled back down during this time. In my opinion, every test that was done during the investigation, was done in favor of the outcome in the official report. That's not even concidering the radar evidence, hundreds of eyewitness reports, nitrates found on the seatbacks and other debris, random damage to the interior and the passengers sitting close to each other, etc.

    @@matdenis7837 These missile do not *hit* their target, but explode in proximity to it. Look at MH17. Bodies were strewn all over the fields, and not vaporized. There is a possibility that a proximity fused warhead exploded a distance away from flight 800. This sent a shockwave towards the fuselage and ripped the plane apart. According to researchers, it wouldn't neccessarily leave the telltale schrapnell characteristics behind. This would explain the mach ejecta caught on radar, and the hundreds of eywitness accounts. There is no question whether the CWT exploded. The question is when and how. Radar evidence also shows that the plane dropped like a stone after it was hit, completely disproving the zoom climb video fabricated by the CIA.

    @Angelomendez75 Here is hard evidence: Exploding fuel tank did NOT initiate the plane's destruction. Here's proof: FAA radar data shows (at the moment the plane lost electrical power) supersonic debris shooting out of the plane at Mach 4. A fuel tank explosion could NOT POSSIBLY explain this, (according to physicist Dr. Tom Stalcup) as a jet fuel explosion is subsonic and cannot produce a force of this magnitude.

    31:23 "Does the flight crew say anything?" "we have no idea what went on the cockpit", what about the flight voice recorder, which was found one week after the crash. There must have been some reaction to the explosion on tape. If there wasn't, it means that they were already incapacitated. This story of "time dilation" is bs, pilots are trained to observe and report things. 32:06 "at some point, enough of the structure just in front of the fuel tank was gone, that the airplane could no longer support the nose" is also bull. From what I've seen and heard, the missile theory would make more sense, a missile that slices the front part of the plane completely off, at the moment of impact. If that happens, no crew member in the nose would have been able to react anymore. An accidental hit by a military missile is out of the question, commercial planes have a safety built in, the IFF, which broadcasts a signal. Any hit by a military missile must have been intentional.

However, in reality, a ground-to-air proximity missile rose up from being fired from a Navy vessel. The missile then exploded near the left wing, ripping into it and embedding several pieces of the missile. It's why there are no photographs of said left wing, as it is the key evidence; the "smoking gun".

This is the smoking gun, disproving the NTSB conclusion. (Dr. Stalcup obtained the radar data through a F.O.I.A. request)

    OMG the Black hawk pilot can't believe not one person was saved. He should try jumping out of a plane without a parachute at 15,000 feet to see if he would survive. TWA never lost a 747, or 767, or 757. They did loose 2 L1011s one overnight stay in Boston the coffee pot was left on and caught on fire and the flight 843 but all 293 passengers lived. Please tell me why the FBI said the witnesses saw or mistaken a missile and it was the plane climbing. The Eastwood pilot said it just went down. There was no fucking climbing because when the nose separated, it caused the tail to go down there for no wind flowing over the wings creating no lift. THERE WAS NO CLIMB. The Air Force still Flys B52s and they are almost 100 years old. And don't you think the explosion frayed the wires. Google what the temperature is the air at 15,000 feet and it will say 32 degrees F. The plane would have exploded on the ground if it was the air conditioner that caused the crash. FBI keeps studdering and changing their story and boldface lied to the American people. You really can't compare a 747 with a 737 but you can compare Pan Am, Korean Airlines, and Japan Airlines has lost 3 or more 747s from pilot error or maintenance. TWA never lost a 747 from pilot error or maintenance because it was a missile. There was radar evidence there was eye witnesses. Oh well at least kalstroms in He'll and soon the others will follow. Look up TWA800.com and you will see the truth.
