Running off as the human aproached. a week or to later, a friendly women set food out for our hobo barn cat. he decided it would be a great adventure to continue exploring the gold shaw farm, cleansing the land of rodents as he came, pablo wasnt fond of him, but was okay without the rodents. Hobo barn cat collected the mice, rats, and pests and gave the rodents to other strays, to make sure they were fed. the local vermont strays called him a god, he declared himself as, The wandering lone warrior, slowling gaining popularity, and respect. other strays say hobo barn cat still roams various farms and cities, collecting rodents and mice on the way. but other strays say hes just a legend."

If there's a steady supply of food and they're able to dodge cars, they generally survive quite a long time. They go where the food is. Cars kill more cats than just about anything else. Most of the farm cats my grandpa had died from getting hit by cars - and he didn't live on a busy road either.

She prowled her new neighborhood and I started calling her Orphan Annie. But it's maybe not a good idea normalizing cats to just be outside and chasing rodents and birds. This is coming from a dog person who has never owned a cat. So take that as you will.

I was having big issues with large rats because of the chicken feed spillage. I splurged and got a treadle style feeder. Not sure how feasible buying treadle feeders for a farm your size, but it does cut down on food waste. Just a thought

*@Gold Shaw Farm* Another trap option, completely different: Set up a heat lamp, a box with some soft blanket in, some nice food nearby... Basically, make the cat WANT to stay & also feel welcome there. (maybe bring Pablo inside or something, so Pablo don't chance the other cat away, or eat the "trap"-food). Hopefully that cat will be there some morning & will actually let you approach it (or it is better if you let the cat approach you instead, act friendly...er) (probably set up one of these cat places for Pablo too, otherwise he might be jealous, and he definitely deserve it for his hard work) :D

Your editing is phenomenal and I applaud your tactics. You were telling the story of hobo barn cat and essentially cut to "commercial breaks" of farm stuff seemlessly. Really good way to lengthen a video while keeping the content centered on the farm and building that connection with us fans. Great stuff!

My old cat Fanny disappeared for 18 months and showed up one night. By that time Fanny was out side meowing at the porch walk up to the hissed at the New Kitten. The vet said her pads worn and she traveled a great distance. Later we find out Fanny was cheating on us and her second home moved away and took her with them. The second home was the elder gentleman and he pass away and Fanny decided return to our home.
