I'm glad they're actually bringing in more lore about Bel. The only time we saw or seen anything about her is when she used to be the Pirate Lord back in early access, and her being on one of those statues at conventions.

So when I got the curse, I wasn't too impressed and didn't use it. However, thanks to this video and having a clearer picture of the lore, it has become my favorite! =)

I just finished the Legend of the Sunken Kingdom voyage earlier today. It was so fascinating reading the final journal about the Siren War. I had so many 💡 moments while reading it, connecting all the dots from the Siren Queen’s story in A Pirate’s Life.

What I want to know is what the heck the gold hoarders have to do with all of this. Like there are these ancient siren structures which have been around and home to slumbering sirens for who knows how long and all of a sudden this voyage hits us with the bomb shell the gold hoarders have known about them and also have keys locked away in them with their gold hoarder medallions? The reveal of them being involved with tribute peak was one thing, but this is nuts.

I get the sense it’ll be based around Wanda the Warsmith. That’s my guess because the last reward you get for reaching level 100 renown this season is her spyglass. Maybe we’ll get some new cursed cannonballs. Edit: heck, maybe we’ll even get an update to the weapon system. Maybe we’ll be able to customize our ships or save cosmetic presets.

I always thought it was weird that they would just cut belle legend of the deep out of the story, this clears things up and gives her a story, thanks

I’m a bit late to this one, but anyways Even though I understood all the journals we got, hearing Ray take all the lore we got and tie it together into one reading is fantastic!

What's with the single frame of the burning blade sails at 1:04? Also the dead man's chest at 1:33? Is Belle thousands of years old since you used her picture when talking about the new warrior? If so where is that said?

In Stars of a Thief, the journal gives you a doodle and description of each constellation. The Warrior constellation's blurb is: "thirsts for war still lives on...?" Years later, we now know that what the constellations represent aren't necessarily all story, simply tall tales made up by those that came before us, if you will. This was always a little curious, but now it's really turning some heads. Unfortunately, I don't have anything clever to say about your other two points.

well I was always curious of the great warrior, always look up at the stars to gaze at him to give me strength in battle. but always wondered what happened to him, the only thing I though where he truly rested was on reapers hideout where there was a grave with glowing flowers that were aligned to match his constellation. but now after the information of what The update gave. all the effort for a forbidden love that settled calamity into the sea of thieves was my favorite ancient and only ancient I know about their tribe. yet makes me really upset he's resting place is inside a cursed chest of sorrows. Not even in his body...Now I do constant funerals/tributes on My ship "The Unicorn" to remember him always...(Love the video keep it up! ^^)

I sent myself down a weird spiral by looking at the wiki's page for Stars of a Thief. Oh boy, there's some interesting stuff in there and that's from years ago. Jeeze. More on topic, lovely video as usual. Interesting subtle theory crafting as usual, if a bit more subtle than usual! But it also seemed like you were rushing... everything? Follow your script but let it breathe. Let the words and your footage get to know each other, the music building the moment even more; some scenes changed so quickly I didn't even get to really see what was there (not including your little frame drops hehe). You never really take a moment to pause, you just keep talking and it feels incredibly urgent, which is a bit odd considering it's a reflection of the lore dump we got with season 4. It ends up feeling a bit unnatural, I think. Relax. You got this.

Yesss I love this lore

The only use for half of the pirate legend outfit is... the Sunken Curse, thats it.

I think in season 5 Flameheart will make his proper physical appearance. At this point, it just makes sense.
