It is nearly midnight. I am a scientist and I am writing code for some analysis and because that code does not require my full attention I am listening to this brillant brother. Brother Firas thank you, thank you thank you. May Allah grant you the best reward. Hopefully, I will meet you one day. WHY THANK YOU? Because you said “Muslim should be the masters of science”. It saddens me everyday to see many in our community turning away from science and knowledge and following all kind of conspiracies. I found it beautiful that the great Ghazali used the word ‘demonstration’ …indeed science is demonstration. It is our job (you and scientists) to explain the scientific method to our people so they know our valuable it should be to us and why we should be the ‘masters of science’ because if we are not we will fall into the darkness of conspiracies.

As an Orthodox Christian, I have massive respect for Firas Zahabi. There are only a handful of individuals who can command the spotlight for 95% of a conversation and still keep everyone engaged. He possesses a unique talent for taking the profound wisdom of great minds from the past and presenting it in a digestible manner for the layman. We traditional Christians agree about the modern day leftist-liberal and atheism. Let us engage in more of these discussions to enlighten the unbelievers and challenge one another, with love, in uncovering the true nature of God.

"Four years after the death of Justinian, A.D. 569, was born at Mecca, in Arabia, the man who, of all men, has exercised the greatest influence upon the human race… To the declaration that there is but one God, he added, “and Mohammed is his Prophet.” Whoever desires to know whether the event of things answered to the boldness of such an announcement, will do well to examine a map of the world in our own times. He will find the marks of something more than an imposture. To be the religious head of many empires, to guide the daily life of one-third of the human race, may perhaps justify the title of a messenger of God." *John W. Thankyou for letting brother Firas speak freely. I sense that he’s getting more comprehensive and better with his explanations with time. He probably does a lot of self analysis to simplify his knowledge for the common man. May Allah reward you brother. I find Firas to be an elite intellectual. If he was white, he’d be there instead of Jordan Peterson. Jordan makes simple things sound complicated. And Jordan is limited in his range of topics and depth of discussion. Firas on the other hand makes complex things seem simple and has a broad range of knowledge. And speaks with clarity. Seems like the west is on its way down. They’re only holding on to power with the barrel of their gun. The west only came out of the dark ages because of Islamic sciences. The quicker they realise that the quicker they can get back on track. The Muslims lost their way because they reduced their Islam from the complete code of life that it used to be, to the mere 5 pillars they are left with today. Not sure whose mischief that was. The west took the rest of Islam it seems. Interesting exchange over the last 1400 years.

I can honestly say that it is my opinion and is a hard argument to counter that he is the best coach in MMA. I may like other coaches or think they did good jobs esp. with certain fighters IE Coach Nicksick with Ngannou and Strickland, but I've known this guy was goated for a long time.

@@ChiefAsian yea but when it sounds like music or mimics it then it has the same ruling if I remember correctly. So In’Shaa’Allah they change it to vocals that don’t sound like music. Also things like beatboxing is haram from what I’ve heard. And yes there’s a difference of opinion abt the knees but I think the thighs showed as well. Not sure since I watched this hours ago and I don’t wanna go back n check.

I like Firas Zahabi he comes off as a sincere person and i learned a lot listening to him. this doesn’t mean i agree with everything he says, i'll just mention one. 55:25 "in my life 1st is Allah (swt) God 2nd is the family and then me 3rd place." .. shouldn’t it be 1st Allah (swt) 2nd His Messenger (saas) my evidence is the Shahada.

No one goes against logic. But why call it philosophy? Philosophy belongs to the people who chose logic over revelation. So we don’t use philosophy in Islaam as its pure revelation based. Yes we use logic here and there but it doesn’t mean we use philosophy that originated from unislamic sources like the Greeks.

It now just a word we use, you see now when we graduate from a course you get a P.H.D doctor of philosophy. It’s because the impact it had now we use it as a name. Philosophy comes from the greek word meaning Lover of Wisdom.

"Logic" is itself a word derived from the greek work logos habibi. And philosophy doesn't mean to "put reason over revelation" that's definitely not the dictionary definition nor is it the definition understood by people. And by the way this way of thinking is very simplistic and detached from how Ibn Taymiyyah for example viewed things. Just actually read Dar' Ta'arud Al-'aql Wa-l-naql by Ibn Taymiyyah where in the refutation on al-Razi who said to always put reason over revelation because according to him reason is what leads to revelation, Ibn Taymiyyah actually makes a distinction between clear cut (Qat'i) and ambiguous revelation and reason and his system is to give precedence to that which is clear cut over that which is ambiguous including in cases where reason is clear cut and revelation being ambiguous and revelation is clear cut whereas reason is ambiguous. Also Haqq is affirmed wherever the Haqq is, irrespective of it's roots. If the Greeks affirmed one god, would it be wrong to affirmed one god for example? Of course not.
