@@Sifinds Gahh you're not supposed to see! Bahaha honestly as a Canadian it's just very demoralizing and discouraging to see so much red tape and so many new restrictions being imposed on my fellow citizens in other Commonwealth Nations. I appreciate that rules must be created and enforced to maintain order; but too often these regulations become draconian revenue generation techniques. Appreciate your time and what you do, Si.

@@noyoureahooker I see your point. The thing is the land is owned by the PLA, they could decide they don’t want us down there and stop access altogether. The permits help make sure people know to record finds, otherwise they could end up being lost from the records - and we want to know what’s being found. Thanks for the support 👍🏻

Hi JoEllen, from another Joellen in Australia 🇦🇺🦘🐨
I love how the nail turned out; well done! Every week I try to put myself on the foreshore with you, and even in my imagination, it's almost overwhelming. So much of what is just lying there, strewn everywhere, is a record of millennia of history. The Roman tiles in this video were such a great example of that. But then I think of the handmade pins, and the maritime copper nails, and the mysterious garnets. Millions of these things! And the eyes, experience, and knowledge it takes to sift through this already amazing spread of artifacts to find the more rare items, especially those that allow you to track down individual historic details. It never stops exciting me. Thanks for your continued sharing it all with us!

Ohmgosh, that coin with the papal seal was crazy; the Apollo seal absolutely freaked me out completely - I might have had that pendant put on a ring, it looked so good. The craftsmanship of your Roman bottle turned out superb! As you say, so chuffed with all your funds! Stay in the mud, my friend!

We missed you as well Matt.
I see you finding garnets often. I’ve often wondered where they come from such a lovely find
Brilliant to see Matt again! Wendy seems like an absolute gem herself 🥰 I'm blown away by Ed's Roman finds, especially that hairpin! I'm glad you pointed out that the pawprints on Roman tiles are obviously intentional. Can't tell you how many times I've gritted my teeth hearing an expert explain it's from a dog running across where the tiles are drying. The print would be all mushed if that were the case, but they're always perfect! 😂 Great job with that nail pendant as well!

Just a word of warning regarding musket balls - you need to check them very closely for a small hole which would make them fishing weights, Genuine musket balls are quite likely to be deformed / flattened on one side due to impact. They could also be grape shot or even shrapnel depending on where found.
I'm in awe of your talent!! That Roman flagon you recreated is brilliant!!!!

So many great finds by you and your friends in this video. The papal coin and the Charles coin were expecially good treasures. The nail necklace came out wonderfully. The nail would have made a great fibula pin as well-It already had the shape and just needed the pin! I appreciate the history and the creativity of your videos. Thank you.
Beautiful vidéo!!!🙂👍
Loved the opening. That’s a lovely piece of pottery and a heck of a mustache. Nice pipe finds, Matt. An awesome find Si, your Roman coin. Love that thimble. I love the thimble! But wow that coin!
Your content , keen eye, & amazing upscale creations are so brilliant. My Mom ran an antique business my love of old items (runs a huge Gamet) . Seeing old bottle, porcelain , crockery, & metal items in the mud such an adventure . Keep having mud ventures.

HI Si and Matt, I've had one of those Chinese coins in my nic nac box for decades knowing nothing about it until two months ago when I took it to my local Chinese takeaway and the owner dated it to 1732. Not worth anything but nice to finally know what year it is. You folk keep up the good work, always enjoyable to watch, cheers.
