Father cats normally have nothing to do with kittens, the mother tolerates him because they live together but in a wild colony the father would be more of a stranger, and chased away from the kittens.

I don't get why the comments are against father cat, he's so caring towards the kittens, after all, he's their father & they are his own babies. I've witnessed cat fathers being better than the mothers (most of the times), play with them the whole day, and give their wives some break after birth, they spend more time than the mother, but back away only when kittens ask for milk 🤣🤣🤣 Cat dads are better than human dads ❤❤❤

Most “ dad” cats eat their own young this is very rare- they trained him to be around them. They are also very jealous and mean to their young usually.

@@annmcneal7804 I've never seen that, not even in the wild. It's always other male cats (or male big cats) that kill other kittens & cubs, to protect their own kids & their territory. They kill others, to keep their own kids safe 😳😍

@@annmcneal7804 mother cats also sometimes eat their own kittens. If they have too many and some aren't developing properly because lack of nutrition they will eat them, or just because they are confused, not all are great mothers.
