This Mama Cat did absolutely amazingly fantastic!!! So so proud of her & her gorgeous kittens! OMG Daddy kitt ie did an amazing job by being supportive, peeking, loving, caring & stayed so calm!!! It's strange as not many Grown men can do/handle the same responsibilities speaking from experience Twice. (I would have preferred the cat dad as my guy was useless & rude, in-regaurds to me, his dumbass says here's a⁰ box's of special K, chop chop & lose the weight the day after I gave birth, then we get our new baby home he bitched at me to have a 10min shower as I'm going out drinking & ur making me Late! I truly would want the cat Dad's comfort & love. My Cat did this 6 months ago, she had 4 all female & most importantly healthy kitties. I love & adore my beautiful cat's. My original point was before I got side tracked, it's a privilege to see & help a Mama cat especially at her most vulnerable moments. The owners helping Mama & baby kitties & Daddy cat did a freaking awesome job, you did your job fantastically. I hope you felt nothing but pride cuz you should.

That's the placenta, where nutrients for the kittens are stored while they're in the womb. After birth, the kittens no longer need it, and the mom needs all the nutrients she can get! (Humans grow them as part of the whole internal pregnancy thing too, but we don't eat them)
