I'm just hanging on to the idea that since they took out Makima first before giving the 'Go' for the rest of it, that she's got some frigging HUGE contracts to call in, and that'll when she gets back up from the headshot she'll have this all sorted out and everyone will be fine in an hour or so, max. I don't think Himeno is recoverable by any means though, since she gave herself up of her own will to the ghost devil. Which is sad, but that's what love does. The blond kid with control over two demons is an interesting new player on the field though. (NO SPOILERS PLEASE.)

Unless some of the "reactors" are faking it, this is how I watch anime as an anime-only. I love the "kick in the 'nads," "punch in your gut," "slap on your face" feel of each episode. Thoroughly enjoyed "Made In Abyss," and currently enjoying "Spy x Family S1/P2" and "Chainsaw Man" this way.

What I find most interesting about Makima's death is that everyone had such high expectations of her, and she dies as dryly and abruptly as possible. The fact that she died from gunfire shows that she is a normal human when everyone believed she would be an unstoppable mystical being.
