@@Mebirduwine I wish they'd let us focus dungeon drops like they did with onslaught. I don't mean a "select which weapon that drops" feature where we always get what we select, but even something as simple as letting us focus armor or weapons after our initial dungeon clear, and have an X% greater chance of getting what we select. Anything to make grinding dungeons less monotonous. I got super lucky and my second indebted kindness had flared mag/lead/voltshot and I have hardly put it down since getting it.

The reason why call has such a high usage is because 1. Its in the kinetic slot and is a special legendary 2. Opens us a slot in the energy slot for ad clear primaries such as sun shot, graviton, hesitations etc 3. Works sooo freaking well to increase your transcendence bar And prismatics broken

@@dazingoth783 Nah. The comment is pretty whinny. The gun being #1 most used is public data, so if Bungie is going to nerf the frame because of usage it's the players fault, not the streamer. Also I've seen nerfs and buffs across the boards. If this weapon frame was in need of a nerf they would've done so with Indebted Kindness.

I’m usually with you Rick but this gun is basically worthless in pvp so saying things like “overturned” and “bungie needs to figure out how to balance rocket sidearms” about a strictly pve weapon is crazy. Why would you want them to take our toys that aren’t effecting any type of pvp fairness?

The call is superior. It’s kinetic, it’s craftable, it synergises with just about anything. It can take warlock strand builds to new heights with hatchling. Indebted kindness is just ok in comparison, maybe run it for jolt or something.

The call is one of the first pale heart weapons you get so even people that do the campaign and bounce will get it.

Basically called for a nerf but we all know its coming 😂

It feels fun, it's very forgiving and its strong AND its new and craftable. I absolutely love them. I hope they don't completely nerf them.

Here's the thing I find irritating with Bungie nerfs: they don't seem to understand that the "most used" weapon doesn't necessarily mean "most overpowered." Bait and Switch is one of the most desirable perks on a weapon, but it's not the most powerful, not by a long shot. It's simply the perk that offers the best balance of power AND ease of use. Vorpal is much easier to use, but it doesn't provide nearly the same level of damage boost. Tricorn offers far more damage, but it's much harder to get going. In a boss encounter with a decently long damage phase and lots of low level enemies, I'll take Tricorn over BaS every single time. As such, it's obvious that encounter design, more than anything else, can (and should) be used to shake up toolbox usage. A single weapon simply cannot be good at everything. I would never, for example, use a rocket sidearm to take out small, highly mobile snipers/grenadiers posted up on a wide ledge 50m away. That's a job for a bow/scout. I wouldn't use a rocket sidearm to chew through a wave of surrounding screebs either. That's SMG/blinding GL territory. The excess usage of this sidearm means that, more than anything, there are an excessive number of combat encounters where it is "Called" for (see what i did there?). That is, there are way too many close to mid-range combat encounters with moderate numbers of trash tier enemies supported by a few tougher enemies where both the ammo economy and chunky damage of the rocket pistols can really shine. Forbearance basically had the same problem (and largely filled similar, though not identical roll). The rocket pistol supplanted it though because, with voltshot, it could the same thing, but was even better at taking on high health targets. All that too say, unbalanced weapon usage says far more about lack of encounter variety more than it says about weapon tuning.

It’s probably getting so much use cause 1. It’s good 2. All you need to do is run around the pale heart and it’s SOOO MUCH easier to get then Endebted kindness

I think one of the reasons the percentage use for the call is so high right now. Is that most of the build this season revolve around getting your class ability back as fast as possible, and the call has a perk that does that. I think if strategist wasn’t a thing it would have way less usage.

My opinion on why it became the most used is because it’s a rocket assisted sidearm and a lot of solo players couldn’t get their hands on a good Indebted Kindness so this was their chance to make up for it. Not to mention it’s craftable, so you don’t have to waste as much time farming.

Except there's three rocket sidearms....not two. Buried Bloodline is a rocket sidearm, it literally gets the enhanced rockets buff on the exotic titan chest.

Nobody tell him about the Incandescent Chain Reaction sword!

another reason for the usage, kinetic exotics aren't as good as the energy exotics. so a good portion of the builds use a exotic in the energy slot and just slap the call in the kinetic slot

The call makes any build servicable.

Problem with the No Hesitation is the way it fires. If it were hitscan on the damage shots, it would easily double or triple the usage.

2:23 I don’t know if you can read. But it also is the only gun in the top in the kinetic slot. The call is paired with the other guns on the list. Khavostov was not obtainable for 3 weeks. Once we get further more people will get it. But the call is just accessible

ever since the final shape launch I have been almost solely using the pale heart weapons mentioned. my first Call roll was beacon rounds and tricorn, a complete set of a roll: great for dps on any enemy at close range or far. The machine gun is the first viable legendary dps heavy I have ever had. my first roll was reconstruction and bait and switch. combined with the Call and the solid Red Death for healing, life hasn't been easier.

I think the number one reason is the slot that it’s in. It frees up slot two for the ad clear monsters in second and third place. Indebted kindness would win hands down if they were in the same slots.

You get the gun immediately in the new campaign. It made the game fun for returning players

Beacon rounds / Golden Tricorn was my first roll and that’s still the one I’m using over other rolls.

It wouldn’t be a problem if bungie knew how to issue reasonable balance changes like making other weapons more powerful to match or slightly reducing certain aspects. I can already see the rocket frames in general getting huge needs to overall ammo, reload, damage and handling.

Without even saying "THIS IS TOTALLY BROKEN!" with those usage numbers alone it's gonna get nerfed harder than a baby blowing a tissue paper spit ball

So the Calls stats are basically becuase it’s incredibly easy to access, you get a pretty serviceable roll during the Campaign, and it’s craftable,

I knew all along which one it was going to be. I made my entire build around it. I feed so much special ammo to my self that i only use that.

I actually have 3 crafted: DEMO/ ADRENALINE JUNKIE BEACON ROUNDS/ ONE FOR ALL SLICE/HATCHLING This gun is so good and will CERTAINLY be getting Nerfed thanks to all of these videos that these content creaters keep making.

The best thing about the weapon besides it being in the kinetic slot is the fact that its strand. It helps you boost your prismatic meter by a ton and that’s not even taking into consideration fragments to help even further. One of my favorite weapons from this dlc to come into the sandbox and a staple weapon in many loadouts 🔫

The Call is just super flexible and can be used in near all situations.

I got The Call (Adrenaline Junkie, Beacon Rounds) right off the bat of the legendary campaign Added in Graviton Lance and Retrofit Escapade (Target Lock, 4th Time's the Charm) Wrecked the legendary campaign and have rarely changed from that loadout.

The call is amazing. Rocket sidearms are like having a mini heavy weapon great for taking out opponents and taking chunks of health off of stronger ones.

The call i use because i dont want to run the dungeon for kindness. If kindess was easy to obtain like the call is then i would use it

I have a tough time choosing between the satisfaction of Indebted Kindness and Still Hunt. One shreds ads and the other bosses.

You get The Call simply by playing the expansion. That’s why. EVERYONE wants Indebted, but not everyone feels like grinding WR for it.

The reason I use the Call is because Indebted Kindness made me fall in love with rocket sidearms, but Final Shape introduced not one, not two, but three different energy weapons that are already fighting eachother over my favorite pick, that being Ergo Sum, Still Hunt, and No Hesitation. Meanwhile, the Kinetic slot only has a few weapons that interest me recently, so it's easy to pick The Call when I'm using another exotic weapon, since the only other option I really eyeball is Khvostov.

It’s not overturned, it’s a special weapon for a reason.

I enjoy The Call. But Beacon Rounds and Golden Tricorn. It cleaned both Subjugators during the Witness fight. Also, 21% Delirum might need another look.....

It's basically a mountaintop on full auto. Really like it.

I've ran warlord a lot. Especially this season for pinnacle. Not had one voltshot roll of indebted kindness.

I refer to The Call as a “shotgun at range”. My initial roll was awesome, I believe with Subsistence and Demolitionist. But I crafted it with Subsistence and Desperate Measures. Then I can run Graviton Lance plus a strand rocket launcher or machine gun. With Swarmers exotic on my warlord and the strand super on the Transcendant subclass, it’s nuts 🤪💥

Voltshot is great, but for general play, increasing the blast radius on the call can lead to multikills faster and proc one for all quickly, which is just faster. This season, threaded blast is really strong, and call can roll so many good perks that just work. Indebted has some poorer options.

Yup I tried several different rolls for the call before I settled on the vorpal, beacon rounds with blast radius masterwork trait.

If it does get nerfed, I really hope Bungie isn’t too heavy with the hammer like they were with other things before

Do not forget all but one of the weapons are the easiest to get in the game the only outlier is indebted kindness (it requires you to own the dungeon pass not everyone has that ) , so it not a surprise to see the rest of the guns in list been the most used . Also the call is a mission reward gun in the questline for final shape (no grinding or rng to unlock it )

Sunspot is great to use to clear out enemies in groups. I think the longest streak I got was 30 with one shot. Of course, this was at a spawn in point.

The other most used weapons are in the energy slot. So what else would you have in the kinetic slot?

lol ive been using the call from the begging of the final shape campaign. it is a 1 hit sometimes 2 hit in PVE. but now that the cat is out of the bag i have got to find another.

The Call high usage is because it can be crafted. Once the Echo rocket side arm appears it will have competition. Also not everyone has the luck or patience to get a good indebted kindness which is pure RnG. And oh pay the Dungeon fee. Finally the Call is not a good PVP gun, so I am not sure why it is "over tuned". This isn't Khvostov decimating trials. And PvP specials are typically close to one shot affairs like shotguns and snipers. The Call isn't even close. It is the same reason why people don't use Forerunner in PvP because it needs 3 crits to kill against anyone with T9 resilience and consumes special ammo. And the Call is not even hit scan.

It’s unstop sidearm so there is going to be high usage if you don’t wanna use primary sidearm.

Indebted Kindness is much better imo. Call is great too and it really depends on which primary/exotic you want.

Been using the Call since I got my first one. It is FANTASTIC! And personally, I use it because I don't do the dungeon to get the Indebted Kindness. So the Call is MUCH easier for me to get. I already have the crafted one with good perks on it. It's killer. Although I'd love the Indebted Kindness. It looks super fun!

Yes Kindness is better than the call… but one thing: it depends on the rolls. Call: easy drop, craftable - the king atm! Kindness: dungeon drop (have two, but none with voltshot 😢) but with perfect rolls kindness is even better than the call 📞

The reason its most used by this much is because not nearly as many people playing The Final Shape has even touch the dungeon. Plus its the first weapon you get. Indebted Kindness has been popular for months. So of course people that never played the dungeon is going to hop on this.

The call is great but gravition lance is the GOAT as far as I'm concerned. Using it on everything from campaign to gm nightfall

there is good comba abaout squeres and spheres chemps, special sidearm and handcannon so the call + sunshot is good combo, with strand granates + apex predator for outkill triangles it is nice gameplay against any threat

The Call also doesn't require us to pay extra to get.

I rock the call and Lance. I pretty much unstoppable with this combo.

I switch between The Call and Malfeasance - two best primary slot weapons in the game.

Hard to beat The Call - I’d absolutely use it if I weren’t usually running Blinding GL in GM to keep my team from dying haha

I love that Side Arm, but it still doesn't racks up as many kills as my Igneous Hammer Heal Clip/Incandescence, not even close. But it is now part of my all purpose loadout along with Pro Memoria.

The pro memoria (sp) is quite nice... I have a bait and switch/envious assassin role.... The strike boss meltage is NOICE...

the call is used the most cause i think u get it the most. Me and my friend jsut finished the final campaign over this weekend and we got these gun at least 10 times each.

As someone who does use double special with these rocket side arms i would say you eont need lead from gold to use them as primaries now when Bungie nerfs their damage and ammo economy you definitely will need lead from gold but for now you dont.

It's also the only one on the top 7 in the Kinetic slot, so yeah none of these other high usage weapons compete with it.

Of course The Call, it’s easy to get, you can buy & craft it! The Kindness you have to beat the 2nd boss in the Warlords dungeon. Not many people don’t want to play Dungeon.
