I'm pretty sure they were able to control the boost the turbo made, so they also probably turned it down during the rain

Yeah Aryton was really known for his left foot braking before it becoming the normal later with the sequential gearboxes. Able to keep the revs up in to help reduce the turbo lag.

Ayrton has a distinct way of throttle control. He "stabs" at the throttle to keep the boost up during corner exit.

Pushes flash wide, feels guilty and lets him by, immediately spins him out. LMFAO.

That wouldn't be that hard, relatively. The drivers did try to avoid shifting in the middle of corners for that exact reason, but they did it. Racing steering wheels have a much smaller rotation than road car steering wheels, so you could easily complete a full rotation with one hand, and your feet do the rest

No when the turbo kicks in it isn’t kinda like having double the horsepower it’s more equal to 3/4times the power. That 1.5litre engine on a dyno is with no turbo would make bugger all power bolt on the big turbo and put 2bar boost through it bang 650hp. Also what are you on about?, your reply doesn’t even make sense. I think you’re trying to say that in qualifying it’s more than in the race not “less”, which is correct but has nothing to do with my original comment. :)

levelXtreme because turbos were banned in 1989 mate, unless it was an illegal car, Senna had no turbo

Senna had a unusual technique of stomp the gas pedal rapidly into corners I think it helped him keep the turbo spooled but good luck keeping the car on the track if you try it!!! Senna was a beast

16:44 Tbf, you had enough time to go off the throttle there and even when you pushed him off you didn't hesitate with it at any moment. I think you should have waited for him there at least after that to make up for it.

Yes there was enough time and it should be expexted that he gets a bad run out of turn 2 because he was so far inside into turn 2 so he had to come out of the corner slower.

I’ve only driven a car of this era of F1 in GT, and yeah it’s an absolute nightmare to try to control. Don’t know how those guys did it IRL back in the day. Incredibly deadly machine.

Would you race for the actually f1 2019 LR season?

Easiest way to drive this car is to have it in fuel mix lean until you're on the straight, then crank it up. Still not even easy at that point, but I think it's nearly a 100hp difference between lean and max.

What version was this? I was casting the 2nd Division race for this event for PC

You mean the turbo threshold and not turbo lag. Turbo Threshold is the time it takes for the engine to get up to revs to spin the turbo. Turbo lag is when you are already in the turbo operating range and then have a delay in boost after applying throttle. Can be eliminated in real life with left foot braking. Why Walter Rohrl did it in the S1. Do not know if it works in this game and how F1 cars were designed in that year. The MGU is basiclly an antilag system in 2019 cars so not necessary.
