Best dog I have ever owned was a Pudelpointer. Sadly she passed last fall. She was born with the greatest prey drive I have seen but at the same time was a wonderful house dog and member of the family.

For sure. We lost ours two years ago, after 14 incredible years of hunting and friendship. Have not been able to think about another dog since but maybe someday. She hunted like nothing I had ever seen before, hardly had to say a word, just would be totally in sync.
Great filming. I have a Pudelpointer who is 10 years old now and still going strong. Superb breed!
I lost my German bred pudelpointer this spring, he was a hunting machine, and the best boy.
Picking up a Pudelpointer this winter. I had a Griffon for 13 years and we hunted everywhere. Hoping to have the same good memories with this new pup.
Scott I have enjoyed many of your videos, your dogs are awesome love their energy.
Great video!
Great video for a wonderful breed. I probably wouldn't name a dog Echo though, you'd look a bit silly if you had to call his name out more than once, lol.
Getting my second pp tomorrow. Very excited 🎉
They are wonderful hunters and companions. Ours is 3!
How are they on tracking blood?
Maybe a silly question, but can they get along with other animals in a farm? Like cats, ducks, sheep, chicken 🙄?

I second this question! I don't need baby goats mauled jaja
Serious question here. We raise chickens and they free range. What are the odds a Pudelpointer could be trained to NOT eat the chickens?

Im assuming with almost any dog, if they are raised around domestic poultry and stopped or yelled at whenever chasing them or attacking them, they'll be trained to leave them alone.

We regularly have to replace our neighbors free range chickens! We keep our chickens in a coop so they are safe. When our pudelpointer brings us a chicken, we apologize and buy new ones

@@reedhedin2777 Sure. The same as any breed. What kind of question was that?

To be precise they should be called German Wirehaired Pointer, Griffon Korthals and Pudelpointer. Three different breeds with wirehair, historical a type of Griffon each - but different breeds for a long time now.

@@frechwieoskar8052 Correct. Wirehaired Pointing Griffons originated in the Netherlands and France by Dr. Korthals. Just lost my Griff of 13 years this fall. Great hunter in the field and a lovable clown in the house. He got me a lot of birds.
