Lange & Sohne underrated? That’s a top brand! You’re mixing up ‘underrated’ and ‘unknown to the general public’

Grand Seiko is my favorite pick of the bunch, at least as far as amount of innovation vs. lack of notoriety goes. The only plausible explanation is people from the Swiss snobbery camp hatin' for the sake of hatin'. Just because GS is amazing, it doesn't mean "insert brand here" is inferior. Everybody has their "thing" they do best. Why can't we all just get along?

I don't think Grand Seiko is that underrated any more. Their pieces are high sought after nowadays. And really, they deserve all the recognition because the Japanese are very serious with their craftsmanship. Their spring drive movement is arguably the most innovative up to this day. And we all know that Grand Seiko makes the best dials that are so breathtakingly beautiful.

Totally agree about the Railmaster , it’s often overlooked for the Rolex Millgauss, & I love the Omega’s textured linen type dial

I don't know what those Blancpain went for in 1952, but I suspect they weren't cheap. Always amazes me when I hear about military organizations issuing $6000 to $12,000 dollar watches to troops, when they will inevitably be lost or damaged. Nowadays they'd order a near-bulletproof quartz for $200 a pop. If they supplied watches at all.

I still appreciate that you give you're own criteria to specify what your're talking about so people can fully understand your points. Too many people give a topic and then just talk, not giving any ground to work on!

The Explorer 1 is my favorite watch! And I’ve always wondered why the Omega Trinity only has two big names. What happened to the poor Railmaster?? What a great watch! Thanks for the video. You picked some good ones.

This was super cool, I really liked how you got a bit more in depth with the watches and the history thereof. I'd love to see more of that in future videos!
