@@domenicc1839 Nobody runs around only with HA for 30 mins lol. The players in this battle did because their micro isn't good enough to do infantry engagement and use ha at the same time.

Hey, your commentary isn't bad at all. I'm just had a breakup that hits really hard... your commentary never fails to make me smile and I'm always happy to see a new video, especially TWLs. I love how you say what comes to your mind, you are always so nice, never take pride (even tho i hope your proud of yourself, you definitely can be I think). Nice on the GB win. I saw what they did there. Overwhelming one flank with lots of Calv. Distracting them and making them micro management that one flank whild slowly shivfting troops to one side and stretching out their lines. Forcing them to send ground skirmishers to try to help out on that one flank. Once all that was done thats when they struck hard and fast. Sending troops down the middle and both tag teaming 1 army while having a small/large enough detachment force along with the Calv to force to engage them or be crushed on that one flank and not being able to support his team mate.

Horsearchers can be a pain in the but, exspecialy when there more then 1 . The best way to counter them is long range footarchers in my opinion . They mostly be used as a distraction , to keep the enemy's eyes of the battlefield. The game starts not when you push the startbutton but with choosing a faction ;-) , Verry intertaining and tactical battle ! ! ! the Gorilla boys plan worked out verry well ! Congratulations guys .

Out of curiosity - what constraints, if any were there on which factions people could use in this battle ? I assume the + / - values for seige battles weren't used ? Was there a cash value they had to conform to ?

Not sure myself because this is a rare occasion. I do know the point +/- value system isn't used because it was a tire breaker. So whoever wins the pitch battle wins the tie breaker.

So when it comes to a land battle, both teams pick 2 factions out of their remaining list and tell the reff/moderator. Then the mod reveals them and if both teams picked the same faction(example if one team picked boii and the other one did as well) they will both use it. So no same faction rule applies here and the pts dont apply. You still lose those factions after the tie so keep that in mind.

What about using pikemen as a decoy to eat ammo? Honest question I've never actually played but I want to so when I do can I use pikes in a pitched battle as bait or is it worth it?

At 2:25 you should have said they were "horsing around" as well. It would have been perfect. Oh wait, you said it later in the video. Whoops! Still would have been great at the beginning though.

I am very happy about the new season republic factions. One problem i have is that they added those to grand campaign factions as extra factions. This is a mistake in my opinion, republic only could have been more balanced.

It’s almost like battles are a slow methodical process in which you try to preserve your forces if you can….very different to the bs Hollywood sells you….
