My biggest irk with ETFs is the lack of optimization. Large changes in any given stock in the ETF can drag your portfolio down. But in general, ETF or not, I think the stock market isn't showing any sign of slowdown and I want to invest about $60k but I'm not so confident about my abilities yet.

I have greatly grown more than 45% this year already, though my FA has advised we diversify going forward. But safe to say a growing market does not always mean that the economy is smooth-sailing, but yeah, we can as well enjoy while it lasts.

There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with Annette Marie Holt for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

I lost over $70k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Natalie Strayer..

I’ve been investing 20 years (I’m 42). My number one advice to anyone is don’t trade individual stocks. You don’t make money doing that. Took me 15 years to learn that! DCA into between 1 and 3 ETFs and if you can afford it, purchase property.

The first ETF looks terrible. Why on earth would you put 36% in Australia ? Surely the point of a global portfolio is to allocate in accordance with the global stock market weightings ? And why on earth have 7% in a useless global bond fund that will return nothing and crash when stocks crash ? You need a short term money market fund or cash. And at 7% there is very little stability or income. The weighting is far too small.
