The most scarce resource on the planet: Mindset of abundance | Naveen Jain | TEDxBerkeley

Naveen Jain, an award-winning CEO and entrepreneur, challenges the notion that we live in a world of scarcity; rather, he suggests that our primal, survivalist instincts confine us to this world of scarcities, and that adopting a mindset of abundance is crucial in cutting-edge entrepreneurship.
[AV and event video provided by repertoireproductions.com].
Naveen Jain is an entrepreneur and philanthropist driven to solve the world’s biggest challenges through innovation. He is a founder of Moon Express, World Innovation Institute, inome, Talent Wise, Intelius, and InfoSpace. He is a regular contributor to the Forbes, WSJ, INC and Huffington Post. Naveen is also on the board of Singularity University, an interdisciplinary university with the mission to educate and inspire leaders to address humanity’s grand challenges through innovative technologies.

  • @minimalchill

*plenty of plants. Curious if you’re aware that 14 of the 17 leading causes of death in America are directly connected to diets that include dairy, eggs, and especially meat. Heart disease, cardiac arrest, multiple cancers, etc. The stuff ppl eat already is killing them. The issue is eating death. If you eat death, suffering, fear, grief, etc…that’s what you get. In the form of depression, anxiety, stress, physical health problems, etc. Now this is the statistic in America, my home. Not sure if you’re American but I recommend you look into the same stat. It’s shocking. Whole food plant based is literally what our digestive system works for. Our biology is that of a herbivore. Just compare it to the other 75% of herbivorous species on the planet. So yeah. Plants is the answer. Not flesh meat. Not mock meat. Not lab meat. Meat is death. Eat plants. P.S. I value plant lives too. Far more plants die to feed an animal into growth, only to take its life to consume it as well. So more plants live if you don’t eat animals. Life matters. Life is abundance. Not death.

  • @Kenny-tl7ir

No. Synthetic laboratory meat IS better than processed foods AND it will be more wholesome because: 1). We are not having to slaughter tens of millions of animals for food, thus this is causing less harm to the environment and reducing suffering. 2). We can replicate exactly the same cellular structure in a steak for example AND add macronutrients from plants all the while take away harmful toxins and chemicals that would naturally occur in a steak.
