@@welhynole4082 I don't think Dustin cares, honestly, and he couldn't continue past that point given that it's automatically a disqualification. You don't take risks in a fight that could determine your entire career, if an illegal move happens, reschedule the fight. He came back to beat Alvarez later on anyway, but it's like an obvious eye poke, if you think it could impinge your ability to win, don't risk it. This was also the referees decision, Dustin usually plays closely to the rules, and stops when he's told to stop.

Now this is sportsmanship. Dustin willing to defend the man that made an illegal move accepting that it was a mistake is a huge sign of the respect that he has for him. Eddie admitting on a live broadcast that it was a illegal move and apologizing to not only Dustin but the crowd shows you the type of fighter he truly is. These two are prime examples of how you should act as competitors. Huge respect for the both of them.

@@welhynole4082 I don't think Dustin cares, honestly, and he couldn't continue past that point given that it's automatically a disqualification. You don't take risks in a fight that could determine your entire career, if an illegal move happens, reschedule the fight. He came back to beat Alvarez later on anyway, but it's like an obvious eye poke, if you think it could impinge your ability to win, don't risk it. This was also the referees decision, Dustin usually plays closely to the rules, and stops when he's told to stop.

They aren't seen as honest, and some people have lost their ability to see genuine authenticity in a person. Now this is sportsmanship. Dustin willing to defend the man that made an illegal move accepting that it was a mistake is a huge sign of the respect that he has for him. Eddie admitting on a live broadcast that it was a illegal move and apologizing to not only Dustin but the crowd shows you the type of fighter he truly is. These two are prime examples of how you should act as competitors. Huge respect for the both of them.
