I'd also recommend marketing to other places like apartment complxes, city or county parks departments, vet clinics shelters and dog bording businesses, as well as retirement communities specifically- since they are less likely to be able to do the work themselves. Consider expanding the service to small farms if you live in a rural area, but be aware that the work will be much more involved so your pricing should reflect that. Also in this instance you'll need to be aware of your county's waste disposal regulations as it pertains to animal refuse. If you're in an area that has any animal shows or competitions, or even parades or rodeos, there's a potential short-term contract for the waste removal.

Legal formation? All you do is go to the courthouse pay $25 and get a DBA. You're putting way too much thought into this bud. I cannot believe you mentioned an LLC for a poop scooping business. See here in America we need to simplify things instead of confusing you do not need an LLC. If you owned hundreds of thousands or millions dollars worth of equipment than yellow by an LLC but you have no equipment, a few dollars doesn't raise the need for an I have $60,000 worth of equipment and I have a DBA and so does the other lawn Care people I know of and the only reason you need a DBA is to get a an account at a bank to where you can cash cheques from corporations or businesses that require you to do but from residential that isn't completely necessary you can do all this without even a DBA. I get maybe you're reading from requirements from somewhere but let's help people do something instead of restricting them. Just if you want to do it just go out and do it.

Yeah it's too bad, you can literally make eye contact with someone here in the US as their dog takes a giant dump and they don't clean it up ! Very frustrating problem here

So you are basing the price on mowing a lawn versus picking up poop. 2 different services and prices. If you compare other pooper scoopers they average $20 or less per clean up. Let's for sake of numbers just say $20 a week at 4 times a month. That would be $80 a month for the recurring service. Numbers are off and overpriced if you are trying to be competitive and fair in pricing. Everything else is very good information so kudos to you!

Your evidence is the growth of the search term, “dogs”. What’s your control? Did you compare it to the growth of the search term, “cats”? Had to tap out after 47 seconds. Thumbs way down.

I can't believe that a human being would pay for such a service. Anyway, I live in Germany, and there is no dog poop on the streets as dog owners have to remove it. So, no business case here.

Very interesting, here in the US I'd say 25% of people do not pick up their dog's poop. It's really mind blowing, but happens a lot. So there's actually a lot of commercial work for parks etc before events and whatnot. Interesting to hear these insights from around the world.

If you have a dog you're Hopefully not too lazy to pick up their shit. If you are, then there are dog walkers. Also, signage everywhere telling you to pick up after your dog. The point I'm trying to make is that I don't see that as much of a problem for people that it would warrant a business. The key factor in making this business successful is whether you have clients and I'm sure what would need to be charged to make a profit is less appealing than just doing it yourself. For these reasons I'm out.

Lots of people don't pick up their dog's poo. I don't do it unless it's summer and we're having a barbecue or something like that. As for the signs, that's typically for public property in reference to other people's dogs. This service would be for your particular yard for your dog(s).
