I'm a bit surprised elspeth von draken didn't get a spot on this list. Its pretty rare for anyone not an elf to ride a dragon, especially a carmine one which don't exactly have the best dispositions.

While she may not as powerful as other non human mage(pretty sure she will surely lose in 1-1 against most famous named mage in warhammer if fight in neutral scenario) ,Katerin feat of fend off Grimgor by invoke motherland Ursan at him is impressive enough for me....If the fight happen in icy land of Kislev even powerful mage of other race (expect may be Slann) will have great difficulty to take her down in her home ground as fighting her in land of Kislev is like fighting land of Kislev itself also it is great timing that when he said she is powerful mage in her own right she face our way then nod...good work Sir

Been waiting for this video for a while, and according to the loading screens in warhammer 3, and prior to watching the video, I think the only answer is Morathi. The catch is that I'm not going down the rabbit hole of characters who may or may not be goddesses or aspects of them, like the Fay and Alarielle because then I feel like it turns into a contest of infinite power. Purely looking at the actual beings themselves I would say Morathi. The loading screen for death magic mentions that she created it single-handily, not to mention she's in charge of the biggest group of sorcerers perhaps only second to Ulthuaan, and taught people like Malekith all they know, who are quite the talented hand at magic themselves.

Hope we see assassins next

These sorceresses are all great, but Alarielle is my favorite. She's both sexy and badass, and playing Avelorn on the Vortex Campaign provides a decent challenge, as your faction is more gimped the more of Ulthuan is not under high elf control. But once Ulthuan is secured by the Asur, and all invaders have been driven out, the campaign gets smoother.

Amazing video! I really like these characters and while I am sorry some more obscure characters didn't get their moment in the spotlight, I still enjoyed learning a bit more about these ladies.

Alarielle. I have spoken. Fantastic and informative lore video - brilliant, work. The editing on these is beyond cinematic, pro tier!

There are of course many other female characters that while sorceresses or at least able to wield magic, show their real power in other fields, like how Neferatavs influence through her sisterhood can dictate how kingdoms act or how Yao Ming, despite her great powers keeps Catay safe through proper administration and ruling of her province and the armies in the Great Bastion.

They're very often just token female characters, which sucks. Warhammer Fantasy has never had a good track record of not being sexist, though the authors behind it absolutely aren't sexist themselves, just horrible writers.

I would think that Nagash is the most powerfull Spellcaster. What is with Nefarata as a Sorceress? I dont know the Name of her, but in Altdorf lives a powerfull sorceress, which is rarelly seen and has a Dragon. I heard of her in a Ben and Tom Video about Warhammer. :D

@@ts7146 He was the only one to emerge from the well of knowledge. Even Tzeentch himself dared not enter. He knows ever spell ever created. In addition, he is just a super cool character. I love divination and prophecy. I can think of no better herald.

as far as I remember only time Kholek is in Kislev or more precisely only time he even have any role in lore is great war against Chaos that he solo destroy Kislev Cavary legion and dump wall of Pragg after that he just kinda go off and never be talk about again probaly randomly rampage or sleep until he was behead by Settra in end time So If memory serve, Katerin surely never meet Kholek Her greatest feat is to invoke motherland Ursan super blizzard into Grimgor waaagh and force him to retreat

Morathi always has been and always will be my Favorite. Except in Immortal Empires there is significantly more to it than dominating one battlefield with your chosen lord. Somehow strategy in this game inteferes with immersion. So it really does not matter who you play.

I did not expect Katarina here, compered to Elves blessed by gods and demigods who all have thousands of years of experience in wielding the winds of magic. She is just a little girl who has some idea on how to use spells. She is a competent statesman but Grimgor is a Black Ork he has some intelect. Would you rather be bored invading the vast frozen lands of Kislev or the populated lands of the Empire and forests of Beastmen?
