We badly need a prime minister like her now man honestly our nations future is going to darker than now. I dont know anything about those times i was just in primary school but i heard a lot and people still speak about those days but they were not andh bhakts people used to talk the rights and wrongs with logic and rationale which is missing today. After her we didn't get a good and capable leader and administrator till now and god knows whether we will get some one in the future. You know even emergency was not that bad but due to sanjay gandhi and his group's atrocities she got a bad name but one thing can be said about her during her times neither RSS nor any offsprings of RSS nor Bal Thakrey could open their mouth and spit venom like today, she kept everyone under control and she didnt bow before US or any body for her India and its pride was of prime importance and nobody dare to show their eyes or point a finger at our country, she showed bhutto his stature and what he is in front of her and same she showed Nixon his position as a leader of so called powerful nation in 1971. On the contrary we have a prime minister who talks big but he is such a coward that one small threat from the big brother he starts shaking in his pyjamas and immediately without caring for our country's needs sends all medicines to them, would you dare imagine that Indira ji would have done that for her it was nation first then the rest.

Shimla agreement was India acting like a Big Brother to pakistan. Pakistan ki pehle hi boht beizzati hui thi to Bhutto ne apni izzat bachane ke liye Indira se request kia tha ki thodi compromise karein. Isliye to hum me aur Pakistan me fark hai.

@TYSON KID that is their old habit- they did this even during 1925--1947 and tried to weaken gandhiji's freedom movement and now they are doing the same so no surprises here boss- they need to fulfill the reason why they came into existence and as per the book of Golwalkar that is destruction of india and creation of manuwaadi rashtra not hindu rashtra as they propogate which most hindu people unaware of their real intentions believe it to be true which is unfortunate but not all some know and they cant just convince many others to that extent these RSS has instilled their hatred filled ideology in people's veins for the last 95 years now.

Indira Gandhi has surrendered to Bhutto and Benazir in Simla in 1973, gave up all 90000 Pakistani prisoners without any prosecution, got nothing from Pakistan but gave back all Pakistani land gained by the Indian soldiers. It was a shame.

That was due to d pressure of Russia...India was never ready to give West Pakistan but Russia told not to do that and India was very poor diplomatically...that's why this step was needed....!

She did nothing for Balochistan when the Pakistani soldiers released by her went straight to Balochistan and started killing and raping people in Balochistan. She did nothing when Mujib was killed by Pakistani agents in 1975 in Bangladesh, but invited Jiaur Rahman to India.
