I'm not usually as big into philodendron/aroids in general but i always appreciate these kinds of videos!! Micans is one of my favorite aroids in general and i do really like the variegated versions.

24:41 tissue culture is mass micro propagation. Its not a method to create a new plant or variety. Nearly every plant that is commonly sold is produced through tissue culture, and they are all genetic clones of the mother plant they were initially cultured from. Sometimes they get lucky and a sport occurs

theyre genetic clones but they are not the same appearance of chimeric variegated plants. TC variegated plants are completely stable and shall never revert, however chimeric's can. They like you said wont preduce a new species but I personally consider TC plants which small edits made to them to be in a different category than the rest of natures plants. What do you think?

I got my variegated micans early this year and everytime I walk by it I have to stop and look at it it’s so pretty. But I’m so glad that here in Germany it was way cheaper than over in the states 🫣

I think its more for ppl who want things purely bc theyre trendy, and not because they have an obsession with it

My favorite variegated plants I own currently are my nuclear Congo and domesticum. The Jose is pretty rock solid and I find them to be suuuuper underrated/priced for what you get. I also can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent staring at my Red Anderson trying to differentiate from my PPP. Still can’t 😂😂😂 I swear conspiracy lol jk jk
