The "Music Noir" sounds incredible. I haven't tried it before, but it sounds like a very fresh smelling fragrance. I tend to gravitate towards fresh smelling fragrances with a girly character to it.

Musc noire is one of my favourites exactly for the reason that it smells like soap, I use it when I just want to smell clean or when around very sensitive people)

Great! My two fav's are Gucci floral/ gardenia & ysl libre. I guess Gucci gardenia is my signature scent. I wear everyday. I love the ysl on others but don't wear nearly as often.

I really like by the fire place and went back and forth on whether to get it. I never ended up picking it up bc although the scent is so great, I don’t know if I want my body smelling like that as its true to title. I’m glad it comes as a candle cause I think it suits a room instead. At least for me

This was incredibly interesting. ❤ I find alot of high end fragrances tend to smell samey and lack character IMO. I'm a picky fragrance kind of woman so a fragrance has to really wow me. I generally tend to like approachable but fresh scented fragrances.

Does ysl have very strong fragrance? I'm not a very fan of strong smells

Since Lancome owns YSL and Armani, it might be nice to include some of the Lancome brands, especially Idole, and it's subsequent fragrances also LaVie Est Belle and subsequent fragrances. These cost as much as some of the ones you mentioned. On one of your other videos you mentioned Armani My Way as being too much of something. In the sample it was incredible, but after getting it home, it was too much, perhaps would make a better cologne vs parfum. I appreciate what you are doing for us. Thank you.

Interesting. I find Musc Noir stunningly beautiful & not at all like soap.

So strange, I love Musk Noir and it smells to me very musky with suede and a bit unisex even. Not at all soapy. But I guess people don’t smell the same things. My sister loved the edt from Narciso, and for me I only smell cheap soap from it 😂

I would like him to try Nishane Hundred Silent Ways. It's interesting if he will rate it differently than Black Opium.

Love the Libre Intense! I think the Libre Le Parfum is replacing this. I have a sample of that and like it but not quite as much as the L Intense. I had 1 on each arm and my husband like the Le Parfum a bit better. Also prefer the Paradoxe Intense to the original Paradoxe but like the original Donna Born in Roma more than the new Intense version.

@@ria7726 they changed the formula some with the Le Parfum but definitely the same DNA as Libre Intense. On my skin I thought the Intense version has more warmth to it. I thought the Intense was stronger but both last long. My husband couldn’t tell the difference although that isn’t that much of a surprise. You can get a travel size of the Le version or a decant sample to see how it works for you. The Le version is more expensive than the Intense. I would still get the Le version if I couldn’t get the Intense anymore but just prefer the Intense. From reviews, there seems to be a split on which is preferred so definitely worth a try to see how it works with your skin chemistry.

La Parfum smells similar to intense but better!

I like this guy- he admits the truth. These are the predictable fragrances that you can find at any American mall. The modern American shopper grew up eating Mac Donald’s and Doritos etc yet things like social media made designer fragrances trendy. When you get a person living the standard American lifestyle searching for perfume - you get mediocre stuff to pick from. 20-30 years ago the Mac Donald’s diners and teenagers shopped for fragrances at the drugstore and everything smelled like cheaper versions of Paradoxe, Valentino etc. People with a more worldly lifestyle who were exposed to European living were buying the perfumes at Department stores and every bottle smelled different. More perfume was made from real flowers. When a person grows up eating Mediterranean food, smoked foods, good wine etc. the olfactory senses have standards and cravings that can’t find what they are looking for at the average Sephora. Hermes has real perfume for a trained nose but my Sephora doesn’t sell it in the store anymore. I’m not talking about having a huge salary - I’m talking about a nose and palate exposed to high quality NATURAL ingredients. Yes this stuff is made in France and Italy but it’s now marketed towards the masses.

Interesting, Gucci Flora is higher in rating than YSL Libre Intense and Born in Roma Intense. To me I think Gucci Flora is quite basic and lacks the depth of fragrance that I look for. It also doesn’t preform as well as the others but that’s another story. I guess everyone perceive fragrances differently. Men tend to like the more basic ones as well from my experience 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel the same about Musc Noir, it's just way too weak to buy it.

Please have him review Valentino Born in Roma- Coral fantasy. Its mild, fresh fruity. The Original and intense are too heavy and head ache inducing.

So, if you use soap in the shower, how long does the scent last? If you rub soap all over you and leave it on the skin, does it feel nice? Soap fragrances are meant to smell like soap. You can't get longevity out of a bar soap scent. Also, NR musks make a lot of people anosmic. If you barely can smell them, or only smell soap, might just be your nose not picking up the notes.

I found Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense soooo boring. All I got was basic vanilla and amber. I agree, it smells like so many other perfumes. I far prefer the OG 😊

I wish I smelled by the fireplace the way he picked it up. It is so intensely smoky at first sniff I can’t get to the famous drydown. I think I’m not much for this set of fragrances in general. But I was surprised by musc noir, paradox and libre intense. I wonder if the order of fragrances blew his nose out by the time he got to them. 😂 Anyway I always love his appearance and his perspective. You two have a lovely connection.

It’s so disappointing I don’t like any of these perfumes. I do tend to be quite picky since I have a sensitive nose though. I feel like popular perfumes tend to pull too floral. I like fruity leaning perfumes with a hint of floral and vanilla and I like them to be really well blended where you can’t really detect any particular note.
