The Most MAGICAL Place in Thailand 🇹🇭 (You Need to Visit)

This magical place is only a few hours south of Bangkok and is truly incredible, let's explore Phraya Nakhon Cave together....
Located in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park (Southern Thailand) this cave is quite the adventure even just to reach the caves entrance. You can take a boat the trails start and then hike up the 600m or so to the cave's entrance, however in this video we actually hike up and around to the caves entrance.
We see wild animals and incredible views along the way and then the cave itself it truly incredible.
As promised in the video here are my thoughts on a 1 night and 2 night stay in this area.
For a 1 night stay...
Stay here and enjoy the beach for sunset / dinner - maps.app.goo.gl/SJSXG62Ck3JvL...
Early in the morning reach the national park trail head before 8am and start the hike (or take the boat) - maps.app.goo.gl/iXLhte7AhmAdU...
Then after you return back to the hotel and shower, head to the river for a 1 hour river cruise here - maps.app.goo.gl/AWCFAFFHrrKWf...
For a 2 night stay...
Do the itinerary above on day 1, but on day 2 head to the marsh lake next to the mountains and do a morning boat trip and visit one of three remaining caves in the national park....

When the image of this cave and the magical gazebo was in the video game, Western people thought it was just a fantasy generated by the visual effects. When they knew it was REAL they were stunned.

@@finnmoloney1647 As mentioned in the video, you can take the boat to bypass the first part of the trek along the side of the mountain. The boat will bring you to the beach near the cave. It is quite gruelling and HOT. You will be sweating buckets. Take some water with you. My wife and I are both 52 and healthy. We hiked the whole way without the boat. It was about an hour in each direction.

I came here Valentine's day in 2019 on my first trip to Thailand. We rode 11km by bicycle from our resort and then hiked around the peninsula instead of taking a boat. Little did I know that I had just ingested dirty water from a coconut smoothie at the marina before hiking. Needless to say it was a very difficult day that ended in the hospital, but I would do it all over again the same way. Would like to revisit again (without food poisoning) and proper camera equipment to photograph the pavilion again.

Hi Paddy, we did this hike a couple of years ago. After stage one, we were attacked by lots of mosquitos so we had to literally sprint to the store to get some repellent. We found the hike up pretty tough but felt well rewarded by the experience of the caves and pavilion. Later we took the boat back to where we began the hike. No way the king walked up there, he must have gone by helicopter or something. Anyway, a special place.

Your comment: Come on Paddy, it's so not you and shouldn't be you to view a Thai cultural celebration or otherwise as an inconvenience. These traditions and milestones are vital aspects of heritage and identity and Rama 5 is a really respected king for good reason. You know as much as anyone thats it's important to embrace and respect local culture, rather than seeing it as an obstacle to your personal enjoyment. The pavilion in the cave wouldn't be there in the first place if it weren't for this reverence. Let's appreciate and learn from the rich traditions that make every place unique, even more so in the context of the place you currently call home.

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is one of the three wetlands in the world that are important to the world. And now this is one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset in the country. 😊🫰❤️🌏🌎🌍

It’s 134 years anniversary of building the pavilion. They went there to do the ritual. It’s part of their job. Just you luck 😂.
