He has not lost on Centre Court since 2013, and all his matches will be played on Centre Court. He also has not lost when healthy since 2013. He is the prohibitive favorite. His game is perfectly suited for the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

Hard to win over when stepping on court like: he will win...

No one... Literally no one could have predicted... the true winner... only murray predicted alcaraz could win his first title on grass he didn't even say wimbledon, he was probably talking about queens. What Carlos did is totally out of this world. Made his way to the finals beating top grass courters like berretini along the way and then when everybody knew who the favorite was while majority of the stats and crowd favoring Novak, Carlos snatched the victory from him to become one of the youngest wimbledon champion. What a road to victory, legendary!!

@@djgalebcn he didn't do anything, they just said he might do good because he's a natural fit on grass due to his playstyle and his serving. Ben was more of an unknown that could surprise, Alcaraz already played last year and didn't show much while this was Ben's first Wimbledon yet other players thought he'd do good due to his playstyle

Novak Djokovic is unbelievably good on grass. Arguably even better than his favourite hardcourts due to his change in his game. His serve is a lot better, he's serving & volleying, he's developed great net skills, unpredictable drop shots, his forehand is bigger and can go toe to toe with anyone, his movement is crazy on grass, his return is still best in the business to neutralize server's advantage. That is why he's been able to dominate this tournament for better part of last decade. He hasn't lost in a completed match on CC since 2013. At 36, he's more comfortable on faster surfaces where he can end the point quicker rather than dueling in long rallies against 10-16 year younger guys which he used to do so well when he was young.

Basically, Fed's records and ability mean nothing to them nor does the fact that he completely outPLAYED Djoko in the 2019 Wimby final at ~38 y.o. All that seems to matter to them is that "their guy" _at long last_ has the most GS wins. Still, here's some trivia about the Fed-Djoko matchup on grass. The Djoker and the Fed have met four times on grass. The Djoker leads the H2H 3-1, but here are Fed's in-match statistics: Points dominance = 1.04, games dominance = 1.19, total points won = 50.4%, total games won = 51%, total sets won = 44.4%. The first time they m et on grass (2012 semis), Djoko was in his physical prime (25 y.o) and Fed was past his (but not too far past it) - Fed won in four sets. The 2014 & 2015 finals were interesting matches and Fed still wasn't _that_ old, so credit to Djoko for those, 2014 especially, since Fed had the momentum after escaping in set 4. But 2019? That was evening-light robbery of Fed's glory...by destiny.

Only Murray said Alcaraz. The disrespect. These players need to accept that Alcaraz is the best right now!

If there was still a top tier big server out there I'd have a sliver of hope that there could be any sort of excitement on the grass. But there isn't. All top 20 players are baseliners first and foremost and Novak is the king of all baseliners.

@@colethomas903 Carlos has already cemented his status of a good clay player, but look at his results this and last year on other surfaces. Not really that good. Medvedev has managed to stop Novak only on USO if I'm not mistaken, and Nole was basically beating himself in that match with the heaps of pressure he was under. Being in that situation once again, if he can, I believe he will come into it with a calm head.

Every interview thing I see like this the other players seem to forget Alcaraz is a player. I guess he’s so new people forget he’s the world number 1 and at least one of the top two favourites every tournament he plays.

@@webtennis24 I agree with the first part, but not the second. Sinner has shown that he can't yet handle the big matches. Alcaraz hasn't beaten Novak in a slam, and he doesn't know how to stretch to stop cramping, a basic error. Medvedev has beaten Novak at the US Open final, and Zverev beat him at the olympics prior.
