It's nice to see someone else win, especially someone like AK who's been denied 1st place for so long. It's nothing personal against Arslan, it's just that the guy is like the Lewis Hamilton or Michael Schumacher of Tekken. He's won so many times at such a consistent pace that everytime someone else has a chance you just think "c'mon man, leave something for the rest".

K Wiss pointed out that AK was delaying his slide timing so much in that set because Arslan was fuzzy ducking a lot and punishing it, AK barely did it on immediate timing during that entire set…until when he had to do it when it mattered the most. In the very last interaction when AK tried to fool Arslan with a low heat smash by going into sneak stance but did the sneak cancel mid heat smash instead, Arslan didn’t take the bait and stayed standing but AK still had the advantage and went for one final gamble while in sneak stance: He went with the mid hitting sneak 1+2 overhead and with Arslan getting hit with so many snk cancel ws 1 CH gut punches, he just chooses to backdash and block mid and then wait his turn again but AK finally did the slide on immediate timing after so much conditioning and it paid off. Absolute masterclass of a match by both competitors.

No need to compare, man. Both were amazing and coincidentally the underdogs won. UMA was unsponsored, spent his personal money to make it to the event, the Taiwan FGC wasn't even cheering for him until he made top 8. Then we have AK who turned pro at 13 when he came in 3rd in Tekken Global for Tekken Tag 2, where JDCR placed 2nd, and for the last 5 years, kept placing 2nd and one even against Arslan during Evo Japan 2019. It was gratifying for both. No one really believed in UMA now he has sponsors wanting him on their team and AK finally breaking the 2nd place curse and got his revenge win against Arslan.

So to those who don't know PBE(Playbook Esport) they like dissolve because they cant pay anyone in the org, AWOL the owner has a huge debt to the players and the coaches. AK is even paying the salary of their PUBG Mobile team because they were the champion team. AK is the goat he is supporting the org with his own money.

I don't even know why you Arslan/Pakistani fans are so insecure about this. They don't hate Arslan, but they love rooting for the underdog. Like, everyone was just as loud and just as against Knee when they were cheering for Anakin in Combo Breaker 2019, for example, and when Lil Majin fought JDCR in Evo 2018. Almost NO ONE was cheering for JDCR in this fight, and EVEN the commentators were on Lil Majin's side.
