2000 pound putter, you use it once and it rusts ? Wow, you would figure you can drown it, leave it in mud for a year rince it off and it be just as new, they could have done a hella lot better job in protection of the putter itself too. Grip understandable but come on now, they should have just left it as plain like you requested instead of it now being a inconvenience and a tacky look.

Shouldnt have to do that with a £50 putter, let alone a £2,000 putter. And then what? Its rusts again? Oh, now he has to seal it to prevent that? Again, a £2,000 putter? But it doesn't even matter because there are rust spots all over the head, not just the etched logo section. They will have ruined the black finish and the spots will remain forever. Last time, a £2,000 putter?

I can soooo relate to this round. I'm a high handicapper (15.2 index), so not in your league...but it's always trainwrecks like your last hole that cause me to shoot near 90 about half my rounds. One or two triples each side account for between 6-12 strokes over. The other 14 holes, I'm 6-9 over. And they're almost exclusively caused by a bad tee shots.

Seems he just needs to find a way to channel the early round curiosity / good vibes and have a fresh, open minded approach to each shot!

After 3 months, I'm at a handicap of 26 with my first set of 4th hand clubs which, by the way, cost a delicious 60 pounds for the whole lot! On my quest to break 100 (which I did because of your videos), I had many moments like the back 9 you played here, and I chose to let them amuse me too. But just like you old boy, I'lm always back on the course as soon as I can. I admire how much you love this game. Thanks for showing people like me that this game is for all. I'll see you when I break 90, and then 80, and whatever else the course throws at me. Onward, carry on!

It depends on the length of the course. I play golf throughout the winter in the UK and generally shoot my best scores of the year. It's just so much easier when your ball doesn't run/bounce all over the place. Preferred lies also help. Obviously the exception is when you're playing a really long course where distance is needed.

We have all imploded Rick, so just feed off the front nine. Courses so wet at the moment that has to be taken into consideration. Watching you is always a joy. Never a chore.

So I've just finished the front nine and imho you are rolling the putts SO much smoother with this putter than you do the EVNRL. If I were you I'd keep the PLD in the bag....or...you know, get a Bettinardi INOVAI 6.0 with Roll Control face. This style of PLD putter helps with you MOI.

We’ve been running an annual Woodhall Spa trip for 10+ years, playing both courses. Great to see the Bracken getting some recognition, a criminally underrated challenge! Looking forward to seeing you attempt the Hotchkin!
