Another job where you can work in many countries, including Australia, is as a social worker! They're currently in need in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, and South Africa if you're looking at English-speaking countries. They're also in need all around the globe but from what I've researched definitely paid better compared to the cost of living in Australia. I'm American and have been looking at which countries pay their social workers better compared to here

On the subject of cooks and chefs. To simply answer this question, a chef is an individual who is trained to understand flavors, cooking techniques, create recipes from scratch with fresh ingredients, and have a high level of responsibility within a kitchen. A cook is an individual who follows established recipes to prepare food.

This may seem a very random question - and sorry it is not directly related to jobs - does the weather make you generally feel healthier? Presumably less colds and sniffles, but general wellbeing? I suffered a severe back injury while serving in the British Royal Marines and on bucket loads of pain meds daily - I was recently talking to someone who worked for 3 years in Australia and said that he almost forgot he had chronic arthritis, until he returned to the UK and the pain was back within days. I leave the UK on 27th March to live in Adelaide and I would love to be able to decrease my pain meds. Thanks for these videos - have been hugely helpful and got me really excited about our family moving out there!

Thanks for your service. While the weather won't cure what ails you necessarily, it does go a long way to improving your overall mood which will affect how you generally feel about things. The warm weather would also help things not getting so stiff so easily too

GP = General Practioner aka Dr you go see in a clinic for that random rash. RMO (Resident Medical Officer) - Doctor you see in the hospital system - aka Dr that you see in ED when you've broken a bone. Different further studies/ qualifications are needed depending on the path the doctor chooses to specialise in.

@@ThatJohnstonLife Well, a resident is part of the doctor’s medical journey, the last stage before they choose which direction to go in their career. Many decide to go into general practice or join another doctor’s practice. Some decide to branch out and study a specific area of medicine, leading to a specialist practice. So every doctor has a turn as a resident in a hospital before stepping out on their own path.

Hi, my wife gave up her job as a children's nursery manager 10 years ago as it was seriously over worked and underpaid. We are now trying to find out if her qualifications would be enough to get us over there as I'm just a postmen 😁 and offer nothing in the high skills list. Really wish it was easier, we would sell our house tomorrow and move there.

Hi there, got a question. Are drivers needed in Australia and how does it work? would my current license need to be migrated to an Australian one and how does the procedure work? Been thinking of moving to the land down under for some time now and I truly don't know where to start. Would love some guidance and help on where to even start from deciding what state, what city, what job, what visa and overall how to get started with this whole process of moving your whole life to a new country.

Sydney here - housing should be addressed We’ve people that have come over here 8 months ago and still can’t find housing, living in backpackers Money can’t buy rental rooms or housing especially along the coast in QLD NSW VIC Some end up leaving the country due to housing So just a reminder- we’ve loads of social n economic refugees from around the world especially the UK, you might find a job but you might have to reside in youth hostels in shared dorm, pay lot more than a rental property til you find a housing You may want to put down few months rent as deposit if you want to secure it So be aware !! You may have to live in youth hostels for awhile

@@ThatJohnstonLife QLD is worse in housing. No one wants to live in backpackers or housing and go to work, sharing 1 bathroom with 6 or more people Some Brits went back home because they can’t find a place to live Some live in tents Some pay 6 months rent in advance to secure housing Please be responsible and address these issues rather than airing “look at how beautiful life in Australia is, and you can too” Because uprooting lives and moving here expecting beautiful life is not the reality for many that do arrive Cheers and welcome to Australia
