I had family photo albums to look through as a kid. Nobody will ever say "Lets have a look through the old cloud storage" in 20 years time. I bought a selphy. I print my family pictures. They go on the wall and then into a photo album for my kids to look through when they grow up. Thanks Canon.

I was debating on weather to keep mine or return it.. you just made the vision more clear. Buying some photo albums and frames.. thank you 🤙🏽

I had a similar epiphany earlier this year when I started journaling. I started by using an older version of the Selphy (newer one looks way faster and hopefully has better color). I enjoyed doing it so much I eventually took my old photobooth printer out of storage and now it sits under my desk kicking out 5x7s whenever I see an image I like. It's made me a much happier artist. It's way more satisfying seeing a physical print vs something that lives on a screen.

Have somebody use canon selphy with a batery? How many images is posibile to print with a full batery?

Stumbled across your video while looking up reviews. Down to earth and straight to the point. Buying it for my wife for Christmas. Using your link. We have to start using people like yourself instead of people just putting out content for click and money

Stumbled into a still working CP500 by chance in a package deal. Same 10x15 tray and cartridges as sold and used today. Same user exp story, rather amazed by how great it is to have within reach. Had no idea such products even existed. Will surely inspire more print lab orders as well in larger sizes. Also inspired me to try some sort of street or market photo booth service, setting up a laptop or even just USB pictbridge straight from camera into selphy.

good way to physically sell photos at events. Thats what im going to try out

I have wanted to be able to print more than what I shoot on just film ( I always get prints sent) and being able to gift and keep photos on the fly like that is great for the price - the way it prints looks almost photographable all by itself good find - thank you also while this wasn't mean to be algorithm friendly - it was on my recommended

Great! But will this work with the Apple iPod? I’m referring to AirPlay and air print.

Nice vid, thanks. Thinking of getting one for my wife who likes doing the family pics thing. I'm tossing up between the CP1500 (which I think I prefer) and the SELPHY Square QX10 for ease of use. She hates wrestling the tech. Both use dye-sub which is superior to Zink. The QX10 looks like instant fun but the size etc is restricted. I think the QX10 is more expensive for consumables. The canon Ivy2 (Zink) is so popular with 'the girls' that I can't even get one in Australia at the moment. More useful v quick and fun. I'm torn, any thoughts? By the way- How do you find the extra coating on the CP1500 prints ? Does it make them easier to handle? Just for info- A CP1500 with an extra pack of consumables plus a pack of sticky paper is closing in on A$300. Ouch.

When printing with borders? Does yours also print closer to one edge than the other? I paused and zoomed and I can barely tell. But mine does this and it’s a TINY bit annoying. But I still love it.

It does and for me it is a nice analogue touch. This is what it was when it was enlarged and developed by hand.

Is there an option for bigger paper?

I just got mine today and got it setup. It tells me I don't have the right size paper when I try and print the full 4x6 size (or Large) from the app. I just used the paper and cartridge that it came with, so I don't quite understand. Did you have this issue? Trying to print from mobile app.

I changed 3 printers like this, and they all had the same issue: on all prints a faint vertical line appears in the same place...Verry wierd...I had to return it. Do you have the same problem?

anyone has specific setting to make the color more accurate with the digital version? mine turns darker than the original one sometimes even the brighteness is set at +1.

Yes it fits, but you can get a none canon battery for half the price on Amazon but the charger doesn't come with a power lead as you can charge it using the printer, I don't like to charge mine thru the printer so just bought a mains adapter and just charge it off the machine.

Hey dude, I am really considering this device. Can it be powered via powerbank to make it truly portable?

Battery powered for portability, fits in the back of the printer. A generic battery is available cheaper than the Canon, charger doesn't come with a mains lead as you can charge it thru the printer but I prefer to charge mine thru a separate charger which I just bought an adaptor compatible mains lead to fit

Does this require wifi to print photos, or am I able to connect a wire from that to the camera to print the picture from there

The third print color is cyan, not blue.

Don't print matte finish, they look like crap with this machine.

Yellow, magenta and Cyan, not blue. I don't know what you are doing but my inkjet prints are super high quality. The Sephy only goes to 300 dpi.

i dunno man, its clunky as hell and never connects. I dont think its worth it.
