I love taupe (what you call mushroom). Having cool-toned coloring, this is “my beige”. The yellowish/camel tones beiges don’t suit me nearly as well. Taupe is a true neutral consisting of brown, gray and white, it’s muted and soft. It suits everyone because it’s neither warm-, nor cool-toned. Note, this lady pronounces taupe correctly - like tope, not top! Most English speakers bungle this French word.

No lilac, or especially, peach for me! I hate them both. I’ll stick to my white, taupe, and light blues, cool pinks and greens.
