I absolutely love how when he spins into a ball, he squashes briefly. Such small attention to detail and it looks fantastic

Sonic as he should be: Moving with the exaggerated swagger of a blue teen.

New frame plus?

I love the increasing running speed swing of his arms and the way he drops after a spring. Rewards the eyes every time physics come into play!

Why squash and stretch hasnt been a staple of Sonics animation since the beginning is a mystery to me. It adds to much.

God I love how expressive and lively he is in this mod.

A lot of fan games do this in a way that isn't smooth at all and ends up being really distracting but this is perfect. Every transition feels so smooth and every pose constantly looks like the same model.

If u listen carefully u can Micheal Jackson’s voice 4:10

Although they're nice, they can effect the feel of the game. In particular, his start high speed running animation feels like it's included JUST to be there and looks off when loop de looping. Also, all the sprite rotation is off putting. Animations themselves are fine.

I love the squash & stretch when he jumps up into a ball, and a bit of smearing with the hands when he runs swinging his arms.

I’ve seen my fair share of sonic mania mods, ones that remake the game, recode it, or give skin mods But *this* is the most impressive by far, the spindash animation, the victory pose, and everything This whole mod is incredible.

Slowing down the video i'm noticing that there seems to be a frame before landing thats actually a snowboarding sprite. I wonder how the hell that managed to slip by, 7:01 at 0.25 speed for those wanting to see is the best example. Otherwise alright mod, seems a bit weird on the sprite rotation but we take those

I love the animation smearing on some of these sprites-it reminds me of Heroes and I wish they’d use that more.

If there’s one thing I would recommend, it’s changing up sonic’s spin-dash animation. Since right now, it looks like he just slams his fists on the air and then suddenly rockets forward. I know this isn’t your mod, but I’m saying this here anyway.
