what you need to know is in china, all imported cars are slapped with a variety of taxes. so the $100k chinese made car in this video is probably competing with a $70k car in japan/germany/america that sells for 100k+ in china. so all things considered, these cars are very competitive. sure the taxes are a case of economic protectionism. but every country does that, america and its infamous "buy america act" for example.

Well as a car designer working in China, I have to say the the copywrite rules are the same here and you can't just rip off from others without consequences. We all know that JLR sued Landwind for the design of the Evoque and won. As for the cars on the list, only the Hongqi E-HS9 and Audi A8L Horch is available as of now and you can actually see them driving on the streets. The Hongqi L5 and Warrior M50 is not exactly available to the general public yet, the Qiantu brand did sold some of their cars but they already went bankrupt years ago, and the rest are either still prototypes or concept cars.

They've even got their own knock-off pentagon
i have been in a karlman in the NYC auto show. they are super crazy but personally, i think it’s trying to adapt to too many styles. also saw the qiantu in around 2019! it was alright, nothing crazy
Nice video man!
Can you guys go in depth on timing belts and replacement please!!!!
The reason that ArcFox GT is more powerful but slower off the line than a Tesla Model S Plaid is likely due to its lack or near-lack of traction control. When you’re trying to put that much power down through anything other than slick drag radials, you’re at the absolute limit of grip. If you took the traction control out of a Plaid, it could spin all four tires up to about 80 miles per hour when floored off the line, which is probably what’s happening with the ArcFox’s less aggressive driver assistance setup.
I don't know how hard it could be, but it'll be nice if donut put the metric system infos for the rest of the world spectators :) Brazil fan here 🇧🇷💕

Metric rules. Nobody uses imperial anymore. Only dummy americans
The U9 is actually really sick. For the alleged performance, that price isn’t that expensive either..

Byd actually build most of the things in house ranging from controller modules, batteries and the motor. Some of there entry level family cars are very cheap for that very reason.
I died at the “that’s a quarter Nolen “. Lol
