I have always found his voice to be annoying... but even I have to admit - I’d rather have him calling the plays than some of these announcers that just make a slight spike in emotion when a big play happens vs. Gus who actually tells you wants happening not just with words but with tone and emotion. I don’t dare leave the room with some of these monotone announcers... but when Gus is announcing, rest assured you know when to run out of the kitchen back into the living room to see the play!

Hearing Gus Johnson yell "DOWN THE SIDELINE" still gets me exited every time

Gus Johnson loves sports so much, you don’t have to give a crap about the teams and you’ll still end up cheering during his calls. His calls are what I miss most about no sports

He's as passionate as any fan watching in or listening in to the games. We know him mostly for his coverage of college football and basketball, but he's also done NFL, NBA, college hockey, MLS soccer, boxing, mixed martial arts, and the MSG network's Yankees ScoreCard show. And he is never boring!

I wanna hug Gus, and just be like thank you for bringing the energy I feel to the games.

Always heard this guy on highlights but never knew who he was, his play by play calls are LEGENDARY!

Gus Johnson is as close to sports commentary perfection as we have right now. His enthusiasm for sports is unmatched. Thank you for putting in the raised turf of the Ohio State-Wisconsin game. That was such a hilarious moment, I can't believe I forgot about it.

Gus Johnson has a voice that tells you he just loves sports more than anything

Gus's "hes got running away from the cops speed" is his best one.

Fox needs to get their hands on the College Football Playoffs, because this guy is the best play-by-play commentator I have ever heard.

Best moment is 1:53 when the ball is in the air and there's nothing for him to say so Gus just goes "UAH" and then when it goes in he screams as loud as he can

Idk what Gus Johnson’s salary is. But I’ll tell you it can’t possibly be enough. He’s the 🐐! Absolutely criminal that he was pulled from NFL games for 7-8 years. Welcome back Gus!
