that use of color is such a cool idea

This could be the sleeper hit of the year. I really enjoyed vol 1 and can't wait for the 2nd. I wonder if down the road they'll actually use a panel of color to really hit home a story/plot point. Great video.

Agree about it potentially being the sleeper hit of the year! It's an underrated gem for sure. I wonder about that too. It would be cool if something happens where the color comes back and you see these vibrant panels. Love the pops of color and black and white pages but that would be beautiful to see! I have Volume 1-5 in Japanese and i can safely say that yeah they will. I did not read the 5th volume but the 4th one made this into my favourite manga of all time it's going to be an amazing ride and i definetely buying the english volumes as well.

Just ordered it, can’t wait to read it, the art looks so good and I love the look of the cover.

Interesting, I had no idea that KENT also worked on concept art for anime statues, that's super cool. I adore this manga as well, and I basically will say a massive YES to everything you mentioned in the video. You did such an amazing, quick and on point rundown of what makes this series so special. The art style and whole aesthetic in the manga is so appealing, ngl I'll be shook if this ever gets an anime, it would look so cool! I'm super happy to hear that Seven Seas sent you a review copy again, hopefully other publishers also start collabing with you more closely! Also, I appreciated the design of the thumbnail, it's so appropriate for this video!

Definitely cool! Always awesome when two of my favorite hobbies collide in some fashion. I love KENT's Knights of Sidonia illustrations too 🤯 I really appreciate everything you said so much! Giger and the bleak Darwinistic Universe of Aliens where Homo Sapiens are thier own worst enemy since 1996 I’ve been a Dark Horse Aliens and Predator freak. I have the Battle Angel Alita collection and the film - the first time for some reason the chemistry for my brain wasn’t right but during lock downs I saw it twice on the big screen and it’s out of THIS WORLD holy ****! I’m dying for another Aliens Arc they say Ridley Scott is directing a pre-quell but I was so HOPING for a sequel to the 2017 Alien Covenant wirh Michael Fasbender I saw it at LEAST ten times can’t get enough !!!!!👑🌎

Man it really does! Makes an amazing impression on you when you see it and then you get into it 🤯 Release day is always my favorite haha I order some online but I love finding new manga when they release in store too.

I read Colorless and was like, this person was influenced by Tsutomu Nihei. Then i found out he was an assistant to Tsutomu Nihei. Gotta love when you see direct influence of from teacher to student!

Oh wow, it looks amazing, the art is so nice, stunning.

I just started reading kaiju #8 and I got hooked and waiting for issue 8 and 9 to come out, but I saw colorless and I’m like I need this one as well so I will start this one within the next week, thanks for the review.

Looks like my kind of manga too! Very good recommendation, I'll be hoping for this manga being licensed in my country.

Thinking about how awesome and unique an anime adaptation of this could be with the anime actually in black and white but making great use of the flashes of colour when necessary

Just picked this up on Rightstuf, can't wait for it to get here and to check it out. Really enjoyed No Guns Life's artwork and looking forward to checking this out.

It's similar to No Guns Life for sure, but unique in many ways too! Hearing you enjoyed No Guns Life, you'll definitely enjoy Colorless. So awesome you picked it up on Right Stuf and hope you like it!

I found this book when I was gonna pick up the first beasters volume, but when I found out it takes place in a highschool and not college as I thought. So I put it down and looked though the shelves and found this and im totally hooked!

The art looks phenomenal

KZread is sometimes scary and eerie. I found volume 1&2 of Colorless as a bundle at a boardgames shop that usually doesn't sell mangas. I was captivated by the art style and bought them. Two days after the purchase, this video shows up as a recommendation. I never watch videos discussing mangas and I never visited or even heard of this channel. It's like a supernova of coincidences. Great video and a sweet channel. I might step by again. I wish you success and hope you will retain your passion.

Looks awesome. I'm gonna wait until they're are more volumes out tho

I just finished reading this and it was awesome. Looking forward to volumes 2 & 3 releasing this year.

Man I want something new like BIOMEGA with those gritty black shades and dark world. This looks great but looks kind of softer like a type of "guardian" story or something. But I'm judging by pics, my tone is muted atm

I felt the same about the world-building and concepts! It was an exciting read and the overall designs are striking too. I definitely have some similar recommendations! I'd say No Guns Life and Dorohedoro if you haven't checked them out yet.

I got into Tsuyoshi Takaki's works through Black Torch, which I really enjoyed. Love his art style and the worlds he builds!

What state are you guys based in?

Just read the first volume last night. I think the 1st volume wasn't anything crazy good but it is very unique and I think that this manga has a huge potential. Edit: the world building is amazing and I will definitely get volume 2 as soon as it comes out.

I have a question I’ve got about 80 manga right now and I’m getting a shelf soon my question is what your opinion is on stacking manga sideways on eachother in the shelf

Hey! Stacking manga upright is definitely better than stacking them sideways, because it distributes weight better on the shelf. When they are stacked sideways, the weight isn't distributed as well. It's better for the volumes to stack them upright also. The only thing I would say to watch out for is shelf bowing, which could be an issue with so much weight on the shelf. Hope that helps!

Hey! Kengan Ashura is one I talked about on my manga I'd love to see printed with english translation video, but it's definitely not the last time I'm going to talk about it on the channel! Baki is one I really enjoy too but have yet to make a video on it! I have plans to make a best martial arts manga video in the future, because they are some of my favorites though!
