What I love about this channel is that all of those ingredients are affordable and it looks super easy to make. Some of the cooking channels have ingredients that a regular shopper can’t buy or have access too. I can’t WAIT to make this burger!!!

Every good chef cuts it in half top to bottom, not sideways. This is definitely a less pratical way.

I grew up loving "patty melts" in New England at Friendlies restaurants in the 70s. This recipe put an enormous twist on those wonderful burgers. Thanks AB!

@@V3x0r patty melts i remember were big in PA I remember and I guess in Minny too huh. I haven't seen them in the forementioned places i mentioned above . Double and triple burgers with regular big rolls yes though.

Finally!! Nice to see someone else who knows to use Mayo instead of butter!!! The quick explanation is Butter has more water content Mayo is made with eggs and Oil!! I use Mayo to make the best grilled cheese sammies ya ever had!!! Grats AB!!!

I am from Texas and I buy my Pattimelts from What-a-burger, these burger you made on the grill look a little better than my favs from my restaurant of choice! 😋😋 I liked smashing the ground beef like you did and grilling the jalapeños which takes away the heat somewhat but I love the burning sensation from a pepper. Toasting bread with Mayo is nothing new (Hellmann's is what I use). Instead, I like to use Miracle Whip when making grilled cheese sandwiches. Adds a little sweet to the equation. Delicious.

Epic patty! If I had a griddle outdoor grill like yours, I would grill all year round except for when it snows. Those patties were on the money (Fire) with jalapeno, onions, bacon, cheese and the special sauce. Delicious! Thanks for sharing AB. I actually started using Kewpie Japanese mayo with a lot of things on the grill, grilled corn and Kewpie work especially well together too. I need to try it on burgers, ashamedly I haven't yet
