Julio César De La Cruz Peraza (born 11 August 1989) is a Cuban professional boxer. As an amateur he won gold medals at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics, and the 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships.
He is nicknamed 'La Sombra' which translates to 'The Shadow' for his elusive and fleet-footed boxing style.

Yes, this often happens against home nation boxers. Also, amateur judges do not seem to like defensive boxers in the current scoring system, as much as come-forward fighters which usually results in a few dodgy decisions!

That’s pro boxing 🫡. I’m sure his camp knew (should have ) he’d be robbed. But it’s gets him on BIG platform. And more big fights.
