Or maybe because they spend their money like st*pid clowns, only going for big stars and not for players that can build a team, or the fact they fire a manager every year like a raging 4-year old would do. As a city fan I’ve seen him try that countless times this season, it was only a matter of time tbh. Just so happened his bad first touch forced him to shoot

But seriously, Football is more than just money and think about it this way, no casual fan is watching almost 4 hours of football in a day and most fans watch their own team play. Moreover, because time differences are not that different in Europe the optimal times for a game are at the same time.

plus the schedules are already very packed between league, national cup and eruopean cups games. It is already difficult to squeeze everything in now. Basically there is almost no time to play the games in different days , and regarding the hours as you said the ideal times are prettu much the same all over europe

Your point about "why not capitalize" both games starting times for TV audiences - I think that comes from your American sports culture. One of the main things fans protest against and rally against, is the corporate world trying to turn everything into an extra dollar. Fans who go to the games should, and always should, receive the priority of the club.

For me, as is every year, "Electric" are the qualifying rounds 😊 ! I remember, last July, watching Tre Penne, Valmiera, TNS, Hesperange, etc...Intense passion on and off the pitch, part-time players, and wild atmospheres in the stands. No multi-billion pound clubs, no prima donnas. Pure fun ! 👍

In modern era of football, most big teams don't stick to 1 exact philosophy. Even Man City under Guardiola (known for possession) often play direct ball, quick counter attack, or defend very deep.

Europa League also is a really interresting competition this season!

Well CL is a much more close race. Leverkusen is the big big favourite if liverpool couldn't tornaround a 0-3. Wouldn't be the first time, but this time it is not Anfield or neutral ground

If you want have an idea of what the PSG is, have a look on 90's PSG, 5 European semi finals in a row and one title, and incredible ultras as I was 25 years ago.

You’d have to kick off one of the games at like 6pm local time if you split the game times. That then means people have to start leaving work early/ having the afternoon off to go to the game because it’s during the working week. Also, I’m not sure how much more money they would make. Pretty much all of the channels that broadcast the games are pre-paid subscriptions, so it’s not like you’re bringing in anymore money? Some games do start at different times, particularly during the group stages, but that’s to do with time zones etc.

Having so many people saying this round was amazing made me realize how athleticism has taken over football these past years. I found this round disappointing, tbh. I miss the time when these clubs had magical players. Most of the goals have been strong shots from outside the box. But I'm not worried. The magic will return. We just need to wait for new talent. Yeah no doubt and I am a gunner at least in terms of PL. Players get close to each other all the time. There are situations where players run into each other and it is no ones fault. But it should always be a foul when someone seeks it out to influence a ref and really it should have been a caution

As an American who followed Chelsea because of pulisic, well I have always liked them since Drogba but really yelled at the TV when cp was there, he shouldn't. He already fell in love w spurs and is a Dallas Cowboys fan. He is in enough pain.

PSG is hard to appreciate. No matter what club you support.

Playing UEFA Champions League matches at same time doesn’t makes sense to me, it would be too hard to watch all the games at the same time because every single knockout round games are so entraining to watch if you watch one match, you missed another 🤷🏻‍♂️ unless if you mange 2 devices or tv and play 2 different matches live at the same time 😂 and watch it

Dortmund fan here. We had a horrible first half, but came back with a decent gameplan in the second half. To answer the question, we are an absolute force at home. This is a good point. Everyone hates a ticky tack or pointless foul that would def affect the outcome but wouldn't have in the moment. Because goal scoring is at a premium in my fav sport, giving a penalty there would have been nonsense. And the call on the other end on saka was the correct call as well, not a make up. Ref gets an A
