Also fishing Dunkirk Erie area I’ve fished the 3/8ths and quarter in both firetiger and gold and have been getting them trolling worm and leach

Fair warning for anyone wanting one of these search baits, I work in the fishing department at a Cabela’s. There are none of these left in any Bass Pro/Cabela’s store, and the online order inventory is almost gone too.

Mega live is horrible compared to livescope. I have the LVS34, there's no comparison. My buddy and I compared to his mega live, side by side, and he just sold his mega and bought livescope. But I think Humminbird is a sponsor. He's gotta do what he's gotta do.

@@nickzimmerman9940 I had to drive by one today so I stopped in and they have a massive amount of them. Only problem was when I walked out my tire was flat. Now I'm late to my meeting bc of a fishing lure lol.

Grabbed a couple of these search baits. I really like the presentation but have the hardest time casting it out without the whole thing getting folded over. The line always gets caught up in the spinner on the cast and could only get the lure to present right 20% of the time because of it. Is there some secret to preventing the lure from doubling up on itself when casting?

Use a leader made of heavier mono. The stiffness will prevent the tangles.

Old crank bait trick. Put a coffee stir stick on leaded then tie on bait. Try it and see if that helps

Used them on Winnebago against a plain jig head and crawler for several days. Nothing on the searchbait. Several on plain jig and crawler or leach. Idk

In Canada they're all sold out everywhere those search baits!

I have tried EVERYTHING to catch walleyes. And I mean everything. From catching live alewives and using them several ways to worm harnesses to even this search bait. I just can’t seem to set the hook in one. It’s gotten to the point I’m starting to question myself whether or not I’m actually a fisherman. I’ve got a decent boat with the high dollar electronics, poles, tackle, everything. The ONLY place I can consistently catch walleyes is at Oahe. But if I get on to another body of water, it isn’t happening. The guy next to me will be catching them, and I’ll be doing the same thing he is, and not even a nibble. Then I see videos like this while I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong, and it just pisses me off. I mean, I’m glad to see another guy putting in the work and catching the eyes, but dammit, I am too, sometimes more, and nothing. Jeeze. Then you have the 2 assholes shoving weights down fishes throats to cheat and steal money from honest guys, and it just makes me want to….. Well, you know. I guess I’ll keep watching, maybe I’ll learn something eventually 😅

HI- You have to remember the guys you see in the videos live on the lake 24/7. Then they go back and edit all the video with the fish they caught to make it look like they catch fish on every cast. You don't need a six figure dollar boat and tons of electronics to catch fish. Just put the time in and try to enjoy being out on the water and you will start to catch more fish

I feel your pain so much. I know it’s hard Don’t give up. I have gotten to the point of selling my boat and being done. But I find something to keeping going. Get on blog sites and meet good fishermen get more advice then you’ll find some who would actually meet you on the water. Good luck 👍🏾

Man, I’ve been trying that search bait for weeks now and not a single bite, trolling or casting. Soon as I switch to a jig and crawler I start catching fish. I don’t get it.

If you could only have one bait to fish I’d take a jig hands down because it catches everything. This kid is paid to say and do what he’s told. Nobody really cares what he says or what he catches. I’ve caught so many walleyes I could care less anymore.

I have some of those search baits, haven’t tried them yet, but where I am, nothing works better than trolling the old snap weights and crank baits, or pulling harnesses, either divers or bottom bouncers. Maybe a nice niche rig or a gimmick 🤷‍♂️

Im cheap and since these dont exist by me i take northland whistler jigs, cut the hook offn and take my jewelers pliers to bend the remaining shank into a loop where i put a spro swivel and a slow death hook. Same thing and i make 2 dozen of them forvthe price of 1 kalins search bait.

Really I didn't watch this videa to watch him catch fish. I want to see the rigups.

@@curtadams3281 mega live sucks and the quality you see is what you get. It is no where close to the clarity and distance of Livescope. He is stuck with Mega Live because Tom is sponsored by Humminbird. Hopefully there's a new generation transducer because this product is clearly unfinished and generations behind Garmin.

Seeing that mega live footage convinced me not get get a mega-live. If that's what I have to decipher to recognize a fish then it's meaningless to me. Nothing more than random noise.

ive never fished a bait i can fish in more situations than this bait..... so yes this channel is advertising baits that are very universal and productive
