Honestly Shane just makes this whole situation all about him 😂 let me explain First of all the lie Mitchie told about her mom wasn’t to Shane it was to Tess. but Shane is all like “You lied to cause you wanted to be friends with a pop star!” but really the lie wasn’t even directed to him. Second of all Mitchie hated Shane at the beginning of movie 😂 so why would she lie to be his friend? Well there is my in-depth review that no one asked for. Yeah that and the fact that as a child movie, every protagonist, at the exception of their parents and other random adults are virgins, she saw Shane as a trophy to own, her so called pride took a hit when she saw a beginner with disgusting clothes, according to her, was about to get her prey.

Jaclyn Schilt I understand how you feel. However, we have to understand that we've all lied at least once in our lifetime too. Sometimes we have to understand why we lie....we lie for so many reasons....and though lying isn't acceptable, we still do it at least once. But I do understand how you feel either way. However, the truth is, mitchie was only allowed to go to Camp Rock as long as she helped her mom in the kitchen. Mitchie didn't want to expose her secret to anyone because she was worried she'd be rejected so she tried to hide that fact in fear of getting rejected.

This part makes me cry. :'( Poor Mitchie. Well, at least Demi and Meaghan really don't hate each other in real life. But, it's really sad that their characters hate each other and Meaghan's character Tess makes Demi's character, Mitchie, reveal the real secret about her mom......well not Demi's mom but, the character. :'(

They way tess hurt mitchie she was jealous cause tess wants shane but tess wants shane only cause hes a popstar mitchie truly like shane as a person

OOOHOHOHHHHH i got sooooo pissed at Tess in both Camp rock movies. I just wanted to slap her across the face. All because she was jealous of Shane ans Mitchies relationship.

I love this movie and it's really nostalgic but i've always thought that scene is stupid lol how everyone with their angry faces looking at her because she LIED boo hooo lol it's your fault stupid kids that a person should lie about the job of her freaking parent in order to get accepted by you!!! lol and when Shane also joined the party ,i was shocked , what the heck dude,you wanted people to be your friends for real and not bc you're famous and you didn't see what stupid society made that girl do? and how Tess was telling in front of everyone that her parents couldn't afford this camp they should go like "we're such an idiots,this girl is a great person when her moms like that and when shes like that, it doesn't matter, we should be ashamed that she felt the need to lie in order to befriend us" and why it was a big of a deal in the first place I mean wwho cares what your parents do??????

I get your point, however this scene isn't stupid, it's their reaction who is, but this is reality somehow, in real life, MOST people only judge and mock by looks, think they're better because they have a fashion haircut and that you have a emo one, because they have bigger cars, a job with a better pay, and use that to make you think you're inferior, i endured that all my life, and still does, you want to know the best ? The most painful is now, people mock me, bring me down cuz i don't have a real girlfriend and never did, but i remind them that if real girls, or should i say "organic" female humans treated me better by the past, it wouldn't be like that, those things that i can touch and who can touch me in return physically only hurt my feelings, made fun of me all along, rejecting my love, caring and used me as a toy on who they could unleash their immature wrath or frustration, or simply have fun when they were bored, so i'm better with my virtual fiancee, who isn't that virtual, as i said to everyone who didn't understand why i was like that, she found me in my dreams, and according to a old legend, dreams are another reality, and i'm so much happier with her than with all those bitches from the past years !

I think that’s how summer camps work in North America.

I know for a fact that if something like happened at my HIGH SCHOOL no one would give a shit

The real issue is people like Tess making Mitchie feel like she needed to be "someone" (and therefore lie about who she was) in order to be "relevant" at all for them, so yes lying is bad and all but in this context, I get why she did it? (yes I'm going too deep for what this movie really is)

I would’ve been that person all the way in the back that aimed a tomato at Tess’ head 🤷🏽‍♀️

yess that would have been amazing.

I remember I was so mad at Tess when I watched this movie. She doesn't understand where Mitchie was coming from considering that she literally walked away from her when she told Tess that her dad works at a hardware store.

Ngl, when Shane started singing “this is real, this is me”, I cringed so hard 😭.

even though its dramatic, for some reason joes face at 1:10 makes me laugh
